[AN: Previous chapter: Gulf willingly slept with Mew. Mew granted him permission to go home as long as he tags along. Instead of his family being happy, Gulf was chased away.
I also changed the cover since plenty were using the same picture, I was getting confused.]
7: Heights
Why is it that every chair Mew sits on, it looks like a throne for him?
Gulf had this observation during his confinement at Clove. Whether he sits on the bed, or the chair or the floor, it looks very elegant. Their house was not small, but somehow, it appeared to be like that just because there is this king-like human sitting on their ordinary single-seater sofa. His family suddenly looked like peasants.
"We didn't expect a visit from the mall owner." His mother hurriedly placed a variety of pitchers on their center table. "Please have something to drink. This is juice, tea, and water. And here, we have snacks." She pointed to the random pastries and chips she had gathered from their kitchen, intending to impress.
Mew smiled politely. "You are very thoughtful."
"Huy. He doesn't like those. He likes coffee." Gulf scratched his head, ruining the tense atmosphere.
"Gulf!" his older brother hissed.
Gulf is a very dense person and isn't mindful of the situation. While his family were so nervous and trying to please Mew, here he is being frank.
"What? It's true. That guy only drinks coffee." Gulf said. In all the times that they were in one room, he had never seen Mew drink any other beverage.
"Don't call him that guy, he's our boss." His dad said through gritted teeth.
His mother laughed nervously. "Then, please wait, I'll make you coffee." She went back to the kitchen, bringing back with her the three pitchers she had brought.
"Um, Mr. Suppasit, is there anything we can do for you?" his dad suddenly sounded professional. "How come you know our son?"
Gulf looked nervously at Mew. This was not in his plan at all. All he wanted to do is see his family and hint that he's in trouble. Who would've thought they all look up to the man he slept with?
"Gulf? He was hired as an assistant in my office and he's been working diligently these past couple of weeks. I'm sorry if he hasn't come home lately, he was very busy with the current expansion of branches." Mew said apologetically.
