[AN: About my previous question about the angst-psycho thing, don't worry, it's not for this ff. It's for another thing I am writing. Angst is still not dead based from your comments. /peaceful sigh.

Previous Chapter: Gulf had started adulting after realizations. Mew, Gulf, and AA all went to Japan for a possible deal.]

15: Brawl

Gulf was buried with paperwork as if Japan never happened.

He recited a litany of curses as he replied to emails and double-checked printed files. Mew was out for a site visit with Tong, and AA had just left the room after dumping 10 new folders on his desk while commenting how lovely the weather was.

"I'm not his assistant, damn it!" he repeated for the nth time while stamping receipts. It almost punctured a hole as he pressed hard, blotting the papers.

The first thing he would do when he receives his pay is to get a massage. Sitting all day in front of a laptop was making his muscles stiff. He thought he saw a spa inside the Clove VVIP and wondered if he can use the transparent card. But then again, he doesn't want to return to that place unless Mew is there.

After a few hours, he looked up the wall clock shaped like a sun. The hands pointed at 8:30 pm.

Without realizing the time, he had spent 12 full hours in this office. He has not eaten dinner yet.

Close to crying, he continued his work, knowing that AA is keeping a close eye on his quality. So instead of eating, he imagined the papers as AA's face and wrote on them deeply, imagining his pen as a knife.

"Stupid fucking tyrant." His pen almost cut the paper. "Did he ate growing pills as candy when he was young? Why is he so fucking tall?" he cursed under his breath.

"Looks like you're having fun."

He flinched. He had not noticed AA leaning on the door, observing him.

Shit. He heard me? He thought, suddenly nervous. So what? Let him know that I hate him. He didn't say anything and just raised an eyebrow as if mocking him.

AA gritted his teeth. This kid was seriously annoying. Even if Mew won't tell him, he knows that Gulf is his boss's new boy toy. What irked him was that he was given a position same as his without doing hard work, when in his case, he had to start from the bottom. What's more, this slacker's family is a tenant in their mall. What if he's just using Mew for financial gain?

He looks up to Mew as a role model. He is everything he looks for in a person – disciplined, well-mannered and dedicated. Meanwhile, this guy is the opposite – playful, ignorant and highly arrogant. He doesn't want for Mew to be heart-broken again. The only thing he could do is test Gulf or else make sure that he doesn't spread his ignorance everywhere. Although he can't deny that Gulf's work went from zero to satisfactory in a span of a week. He doesn't play anymore, and would rather continue working than sleeping during lunch breaks.
