26: A Sweet Start

Money can really do things. Normal couples would spend months and years to prepare for a wedding. It would take countless sleepless nights just to coordinate with planners for the venue, the reception, the guests' clothes.

For Mew, it just took him a snap of his fingers to create a wedding plan. He followed Gulf's request of having a garden wedding. They only have a few guests, nearly all are from Gulf's side. On Mew's side of the family, Pek was the only one he was expecting, as well as Tong, and even if he's not blood-related, AA. Also his trusted bodyguards and helpers at home. He had sent a message to his parents, but either they don't care or they were too busy. He didn't take it to heart. He and his parents are distant, and Mew acted as Pek's parent ever since.

As for food, he also didn't have to look far. He has known plenty of chefs while travelling, and their chef at home just needs a bit of help.

Although a tycoon, he wants his wedding to be private and a secret. He doesn't want Gulf to feel uncomfortable and he himself wants a break from the close watch of the business world. Still, he made sure that they were guarded.

"How are you feeling?" a voice said.

"Excited." Mew replied.

From above, he could see the staff rolling the carpet and arranging chairs and lights.

"I still don't approve of him you know?" Pek said.

"And why do I care about your opinion? He's going to marry me, not you." Mew replied. Pek would always express how he dislikes Gulf, but he never really disagreed with Mew's choices.

"I'm going to miss you bro."

"It's not like I'm going away. I'm just getting married." He fixed the sleeve of his inner shirt. Pek walked forward and got Mew's coat, the very same gift that Gulf had given him on that night that he returned.

"Well yeah, but we rarely see each other and now he's taking you away from me."

"Quit acting like a child." Mew rolled his eyes and approached his brother who was nearly as tall as him. It was like looking at his younger self. "Your brother is near his 40s. Let him marry the man he loves. He will still support you no matter what."
