22: Black Diamonds
Gulf sat at the arm of Mew's chair while he and his lover faced Max who was whistling in front of them.
They were in Max's room in Clove. Gulf had never been inside any other room in this place and he was both amazed and scared of how different it was compared to Mew's room.
If Mew's room was pure white and gold, Max's was the complete opposite. Everything was an elegant silver, gray and black. Gulf wasn't sure if he'd want to stay here for more than a minute. The room had plenty of unknown objects that Gulf was sure are related to sexual activities between him and Tul. Two thick strips of leather hung from the ceiling, and what looked like a whip and blindfold was thrown haphazardly on the bed.
On the way here, he saw the very torture room that Kaownah was talking about. It was a see-through room with just glass and mirrors as walls. Various chains, whips, heavy looking paddles and cuffs were displayed on the wall. The bed was black and had leather belts as well. He suddenly saw in his vision Mew using that room. It scared him again.
What amazed him was Max's own stock of liquor on the shelf.
Max noticed him looking and smirked. "You've got fine taste, Gulf. All of those are limited editions." He said. He stood up and got one thin bottle of wine and poured some on a shot glass. "Here, try it."
"We're not here to drink with you Hermes." Mew said. "You know why we came here."
"My dear darling Helios. I want to be appropriate with my guests. It's rare for me to have another client here you know? In fact, you're the first one."
"Let's cut to the chase." Mew sighed. He pushed forward an envelope and Max took it.
"What could it be?" he sang.
Mew knows that Max already know what was inside. He hated to admit it, but Max had thoroughly stepped on him and his pride at the time he didn't expect it. He had him trapped. Max opened it, revealing several documents that were signed by Mew. He smirked.
"What a present." He laughed and slid it back on the envelope. "Say it. What do you want?"
"I know you were the one who rescued Kaownah. Don't use him anymore against me."
"Oh? Is this you being the nice gentleman again? Are you going to take him in?"
"You're an asshole." Gulf hissed.
"Babe." Mew warned.
"Well, he is!" Gulf glared at Max, but the other just laughed.
"It's a pity Helios owns you. Because if I saw you first, Tul and I will have fun with you." He glanced at the leather strips and sighed contentedly.
Max said it with all smiles, but Gulf's spine tingled, feeling the seriousness behind it. It was only now that he's realizing how difficult of an opponent is this guy. He was like... the joker.
"Fine. It was me who rescued Kaownah." Max admitted. "How many months since he'd left you? That's how long he was being beaten up by Clove when they got a hold of him. I found him and I proposed that he should sign another contract of not speaking about the VVIP, then he was released."
