"And if you guys want this Muscartic Festival to be perfect, please cooperate and help me with all you might," I ended the meeting, stating the greatest hope I have for the upcoming event. Everyone nodded respectfully before parting to their own direction, leaving the meeting hall.

"Everyone attended today's meeting," Eleanor gave me a brief report while handing me the attendance file. "And Sir Jack would be more than happy to know that we have decided to go with the date he have suggested, which is next Friday," she added.

"Yes, a week from today," I smiled, inhaled deeply and trying to think positive. "We got this. Nothing can break this Elisha," I said confidently.

"Including that?" Eleanor said pointing at a direction. I followed the direction of her hand and I felt my chest became tight to discover Adrian was leaning on his car, standing very close with Lily James. They look... it's hard to say, but they look like they are in love. The way Adrian look at her and...

I shook my head, trying to stay positive and nodded to Eleanor's question.

"You sure?" she asked, frowning.

I clutched my teeth trying to hold the uneasy feelings inside my heart and nodded again.

"Look, we grew up together and that means I can sense what's in your mind and heart," she said before rolling her eyes. "I'm sorry for that typical childhood friend's things but YES, I'm always available for you," she said patting my shoulder continuously in a slow rhythm.

I tried to forget what I just saw as I walked through the corridor to our locker room. But to be honest, the things I saw just now really bothered me. No, no. Not only that, but everything that has happened before. The letters, their frequent meeting and everything, EVERYTHING!

As my heart was screaming like crazy, my eyes caught the figure of Adrian approaching me with his comforting smile, grinning ear to ear.

"I planned to wait for you outside the meeting hall after we finish the meeting, but I happened to meet-"

"Lily James," I cut him off.

"Yes, Miss James. I have few things to discuss with-" he said and I cut him off, again.

"Okay," I said, trying to convince my lips to curve the best smile I can ever show, hiding all chaotic conversation of myself inside my mind.

I unlocked my locker, opened it and tossed few things inside my bag.

"I'm going back home now, see you tomorrow," I bid Eleanor goodbye before facing Adrian. "Alone," I said decisively.

I rushed to leave the locker room and went straight to the big entrance. Home was all I have in my mind. I heard footsteps getting closer to me as if someone was running behind me. Few seconds later, I felt a grasp around my left wrist, yanking my body. The kinetic energy produced was great enough to force my body to whirl around.

"What happened to you?" Adrian was standing few inches from me, frowning hard. Looks like he have tons of questions to ask me.

"Nothing," I exclaimed.

"You are not-" he was trying to say few more words when I felt my body was heated with mixed uneasy feelings.

"I'm fine, Adrian Jeckel!" half shouting, I roared at him with a hard tone. He stiffened noticeably for a second before yanking my hand and pulling my body, not too hard but enough to lead me to his car.

"I think we really have to talk," he demanded.

I hesitated but as I realised his face redden like he can swallow me one piece in one gulp, I climbed to the back passenger seat and slammed the door. "Not at the front," I sneered.
