I made an emergency stop and parked my car at the edge of the road few metres away from the Ezekiel Cafe.
My mind was in a terrible chaos. 7 years living as Adrian's girlfriend and never once I felt threatened like this toward any of his female friends but with Delia, everything was different. Maybe because I knew what kind of relationship they had long time ago.
I rested my head on the steering and massaged my head slowly. It felt very heavy and throbbing. I glanced at my phone that rang once again to discover there were 12 miscalled from Adrian.
My phone stopped ringing. I shook my head, still doubting whether to go join them or just go back home directly. I started to overthink. My biggest fear was obvious, I was afraid if Delia suddenly appeared when she knew about Adrian getting married in two more weeks and planned to win him back. Or maybe she just realised that Adrian should not be blame for their dark past and she hated the idea of Adrian being together with other woman. Or what if and more what if in my mind.
I was sure that Adrian would know his boundaries with Delia since he was already engaged to me and will never ever thought about leaving me to be with Delia. But what if Delia won his heart once again. The pain and sorrow that painted on Adrian's face when he told me everything long time ago wandered in my mind clearly. What if Adrian still love Delia?
I shouted, trying to sweep away all the negative assumptions in my mind. "You got this, Isha. If all of your 'what if' is really happening, go win your fiancee once again," I told myself.
I inhaled deeply, letting it out before continued my short journey to the parking lot of Ezekiel Cafe and hurriedly entered the cafe. I whirled around to search for them and was extremely anxious to see them both sitting facing toward each other exactly at the same table where Adrian confessed his feelings to me.
Delia was sitting with his back facing me while Adrian sat facing the direction from where I entered. He noticed me and waved at me. He stood up and approached me with a reassuring smile and took my hand into his firm grip.
"No worries," he simply comforted me.
He led the way to the table and offered the seat beside him to me.
As I settled down beside him, I lifted my head to discover the woman who was sitting in front of me, no other than Delia Edward, my fiance's first love.
She's so beautiful! The most accurate first impression of Delia from me. Her skin was smooth and glowing, her brownish eyes and her full red lips placed perfectly on her face.
Delia looked at me and gave me a friendly looks and smile on her face.
"Hi Elisha. I'm Delia, Delia Edward" she offered her hand and I took it professionally.
"I know," out of nowhere, that words came out from my mouth and I sounded not friendly at all. I wanted to be more affable around her but I can't help myself when the thought of Delia sudden appearance was only a disaster to my upcoming wedding with Adrian.
My cold and flat voice had unnerved Delia. She pressed her lips and continued to take another bite of her chocolate cake. For the longest moment neither made a move nor spoke.
"No offense meant, but I didn't asked Elisha to come just for us to be silent as the grave," Adrian tried to lighten up the atmosphere.
Delia was on the verge of saying something when a waitress approached our table.
"Good evening. I'm sorry to interrupt but seems like you haven't order yet," the waitress interrupted calmly smiling at me.
I nodded and ordered a chicken cashew sandwich and ice lemon tea. The waitress left and the air at the table became very thick again. I reached randomly into the fruit bowl at the center of our table and grabbed an orange.
