Disclaimer: This chapter would be the longest chapter in this book. I've tried my best to write everything neatly but still, I'm sorry if I ended up messing with this chapter.
Ps: I wrote this part sincerely from the deepest part of my heart while thinking of someone precious ❤️

Anyway, enjoy. 😘

"Come back to me," Randy repeated after he realised I was being stunned, still could hardly believe my ears.

"Randy...," I muttered under my breath while slowly letting my mind and soul wandered backwards to the previous years.

🌸

10 years ago... (2000)

I slammed the front door roughly and rushed to put on my sandals. With grumble never left my mouth, I walked as fast as I can through the yard and ran directly to the small lake not too far from home. The last things I heard from mom before I exited from the gate was a "don't be mad at me for too long and please be home before it's dark".

I pouted when realisation hits me hard that mom would not going to chase me and tell me what I wanted to hear from her the most. She's always like that because she knew that I really can't be mad for too long especially with her and papa.

Soon after I settled myself near the lakeside, I heaved a sigh of annoyance when I remember what just happened at home. I kept on grumbling and some more grumble when suddenly someone threw a stone that dived directly to the lake floor.

I whirled around and discovered the 13 years old Randy was approaching me with more stones in his hands. He settled down beside me and offered me those stones he brought with him. I raised my eyebrows and demanded an explanation from him.

"Instead of grumbling, how about you try to throw these stones into the lake?" he grinned ear to ear while he still loyally held his hand high in front of me.

It sounded like a good idea so I took one of the stones. I stood up, stepped two steps forward before I aimed and threw the stone far to the middle of the lake.

Okay, that feels so good.

I asked him for more stones and threw them into the lake continuously till I felt satisfied.

"So?" he approached me, standing shoulder to shoulder with me.

"Thank you!" I whined, thankful for his little help. He titled his head a little to the right telling me that he was happy to help.

For a few second, we chose to stay silent and enjoying the sunlight that was streaming dimly.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"I just arrived at home when I saw you walking to here," he explained.

"From where?" gosh, for an 8 years old kid, I surely talked and asked a lot like an adult.

He giggled. "From the town. I went to buy stationeries and some food for you," he pointed to the only small hut in the lake area few metres from where we were standing.

"Seriously?"

My eyes twinkled and without hesitation, I jogged to the hut leaving him laughing at my excitement. He followed slowly from behind.
