"So how are you feeling?"
Adrian asked me with his eyes focused on his huge drawing paper, sketching view of a flower garden. "I'm not a good artist, but I'm sure we can do this." I said while doing the same thing as what Adrian was doing.
We just arrived at Green Lay University for the preparation of the International Level Musicartic Festival when we were given a task to sketch something about flower. All representatives from all schools were given the exact same task and soon, they will choose the most creative idea for Elizabeth Lee, the well-known artist to draw it into a 'living' drawing.
Drawing is obviously not my major in this music and art field, but what's more exciting than having the chance to meet Elizabeth Lee? She's so gorgeous, like a goddess and I adored every inches of her but why did I sounded like a pervert.
I glanced at Adrian upon hearing his question. "Excited," I paused. "Although I know I don't have any chance to win this one," I muttered under my breath.
After Sir Jack happily announced that Adrian and I will be the representatives for our school, I took a long shower to help myself to relax a bit at home. Letting go all the tension and decided to forget everything that has happened between the two of us. Happy with the thoughts of us being friends like the old days when he first came to the school.
"No, I mean... these past few weeks or let's say, months," he mumbled and I know he was referring to the days we didn't talk to each other.
"Oh," I tensed noticeably before continued, "Always good."
He nodded with a soft smile on his face.
"I finished mine. Well... let me take a look at yours," he leaned closer to me trying to look at my sketching. I hesitated, pushed him slowly and hid my sketching from his eyes.
"Come on," he pouted and tried to grab the paper from me.
"Okay, alright," I yield and handed him the paper. "I don't really know how to draw."
He narrowed his eyes at me. "Are you kidding me?" he pressed his lips, "it's beautiful."
I pointed at his sketching and raised my eyebrows. "But it looks nothing compare to yours, and not to forget the representatives from other schools."
"Hey, best woman leader I have ever met, have faith, practice makes perfect," he said before handing me back my sketching and putting all his focus back on his papers.
"From the scale 1 to 10, how much do you want to meet Ms. Lee in person?" he asked, still sketching on his paper.
"A hundred and that's why I want to win this. I can die in peace after I meet her," I replied. Adrian chuckled as he heard my answers.
"Let's do this then. I don't promise anything but let us try," he took my drawing paper after I finished and walked toward the woman in blue to submit our sketching.
Later he came back to me. "Food hunting?" his mouth gestured to the many small canopy, where the owners were selling many varieties of foods and beverages.
"Sounds good," I took his hand that he offered to help me up from sitting on the ground. We walked side by side and the butter caramel corn caught my attention.
I approached the middle age woman that was selling the corn and greeted her.
"Good morning too," she beamed.
"Small, medium or large cup?" without me realising it, I asked for Adrian's opinion on what size of cup should I buy. "You have been talking about this since last two months, so I think you should buy two large cup for you," he teased me, giggling adorably.
It reminds me of the day we first went out together at night, stargazing until we fell asleep till morning. Adrian and I woke up one hour before school started, so we decided to just go to school wearing the clothes we wore from last night.
We took a short shower at the nearest restroom and even bought new toiletries and towel to use that morning. Outside the restroom, there was a stall that sell steam corn and I thought there was still enough time for me to buy it, but I was mistaken. After everything we have been through; showering in public restroom and buying things, instead of going to school, Adrian decided to just skipped school with me for the corn and my sake.
That sweet memories wandered inside my mind and it was painful for me to remember it back. Trying to hide the disappointment I felt, I fake a laugh and punch his shoulder playfully.
"You don't dare to remind that silly decision of mine again."
He laughed sincerely, like dude it hurts me and can't you sense it? Please STOP throwbacking things ever again.
"Well, that's it Aunt. Two large cup, one for me and one for him," I gestured at Adrian using my pointing finger.
The aunt laughed. "You two are adorable," she said.
I shrugged, accepting the praising in a polite way. "Where did you both came from?" she asked while her hands was busy preparing the butter caramel corn I ordered.
"We are representatives from Lavionile High," Adrian answered politely.
"Oh, I see. Are you guys a couple? Because I think you guys would make a cute couple," the aunt grinned, winking at us. I blushed, looking at the other side to avoid eye contact with Adrian.
"Yes, we are," Adrian's answer hit my eardrum.
"Adrian..." I muttered.
He just chuckled and took the corn that the aunt handed and paid for it. "On me," he said to me continued walking to hunt for more foods without intention to say anything about what just happened.

"I would like to thank all lecturers,"
I searched for Sir Jack in the crowd and found him waving at me and Adrian delightfully from the corner of the hall. I waved back before giving back my fullest focus on the tall and skinny woman who was giving speech on the stage at the front.
"And also to all of you, the talented representatives that have come here to willingly help our university with the State Level Musicartic Festival," she smiled as the crowd applaud.
Willingly? Huh. I rolled my eyes when I realised I was here not hundred percent willingly to attend.
After the Headmaster of Green Lay University finished talking, a blonde teenager took her place on the podium.
"Now everyone, our special guest for this year, Elizabeth Lee," the blonde teen announced excitedly. From behind the stage, a beautiful tall woman with hourglass body shape wearing long yellow dress took place on the podium.
"Good evening everyone," she greeted, her voice was beautiful like angel's speaking.
The whole crowd cheer.
She continued with her speech until few minutes later, she said, "and I was so amazed with this talented people in front of me right now. The idea-sketching, it is beyond my expectations. Everyone did really great with that task," she said, smiling proudly. The crowd cheers again.
"And after few hours of dying and trying to pick a favorite, well... it was so hard because all of them are my favourite," she paused and gestured at the technician. "The winner for this task is....Elisha Alan!" she announced wholeheartedly.
My jaw dropped, eyes widening and stunned. The picture of a sketching was shown so big at the front, revealing Adrian's sketching but it looks a bit different, he added few idea of mine into it. I immediately looked at him, asking for explanation.
He nodded, raising his thumbs up and giggled. He stood up approaching me and whispered, "I hope that would be enough for you to give me a chance. Because I want to tell you something and if possible, to fix everything".
