Take all of me
Deep to where your secrets hide
Where we've been a thousand times
Swallow every single lie
Take all of me
I'll never give you away
Cause I've already made that mistake.

Emma stirred awake to the sensation of a small hand shaking her shoulder. Her mind, still thick with sleep, struggled to focus as she blinked against the blurry haze clouding her vision. For a fleeting moment, she thought it was Chuck trying to rouse her from sleep.
"Chuck, go back to bed," she mumbled groggily, turning over to face the other side.
But the voice that followed wasn't Chuck's. "Come on, it's today. We've got to go."
The unfamiliar tone jolted her from the lingering fog of sleep. Emma sat up, rubbing her eyes, the confusion settling in as she finally took in her surroundings. This wasn't the room she'd fallen asleep in last night.
Gone were the rough, worn walls of the Glade. Instead, the room was sterile, cleaner than anything she'd seen in a long time, with white walls, a smooth floor, and a bed with crisp sheets.
The boy stood by the door, shifting on his feet impatiently. "Hurry up" he urged, his voice echoing slightly in the empty hallway beyond.
Emma frowned, disoriented and trying to make sense of what she was seeing and looking around to wake up Teresa, but there was no sign of another bed, no familiar face.
It was just her.
The boy had already stepped out into the hallway.
With no other choice, she slid off the bed, her legs feeling unsteady beneath her. She padded down the hallway, trying to catch up with the boy, but he was nowhere in sight. The sterile brightness of the corridor stung her eyes, and she could hear distant chatter, murmured conversations that seemed too far away to understand.
She turned a corner and found herself in a cafeteria.
Rows of long, metallic tables stretched out, much cleaner and more organized than anything from the Glade. Emma scanned the room, her eyes catching sight of the younger boy sitting at a table with two other girls.
The boy seemed to look in her direction, but Emma's attention was drawn elsewhere, to a line of boys standing against the far wall. Their faces were unfamiliar, but the fear in their eyes was clear. Some looked utterly terrified, others angry, their hands clenched into fists as they cast wary glances at the doors.
