Eagle Spirit

A kid...no wonder why Mister was inappropriate.

The spirit has brown hair, and his clothes were big on him. He was wearing something like a coat that was brown, and the hood was puffy white.

His eyes were big, but his gaze was sharp, ironically, like an eagle.

"You should probably name him." He said with his hand on his waist.

What would be a good name for him...

Ah!

"Ajax, your name will be Ajax." I said approaching the kid.

Ah, I forgot I was a toddler... He's quite tall.

"Ajax? What does that mean?" Sir Vincent asks

"It means Powerful Eagle." I said looking up at the kid.

Ajax smiles and says "I like it! Ajax.."

Sooo cuteee!

Sir Vincent sat on the grass observing Ajax.

I try to sit on the grass but then

"Young miss no! You shouldn't sit on the grass!" Sir Vincent exclaimed

I sit on the grass and say "I will, don't worry, sitting on the grass is quite nice." I said in a assuring tone.

Ajax notices me, and copies us.

"Hey kid, do you know anything about this?" He suspiciously asked him

"No sir, I was always surrounded by darkness. But then I saw light and saw many people, what was it called? Ah, a festival. But then, I saw I was connected to Master Abela who was standing there.

I suddenly saw what she went through by a flash, and since she is my master, I felt pain on my heart. She was desperate to survive.

Then master was looking at the crowd, and I told her to run." He finished off.

Oh..so that's what happened.

"Did you know that Abela was going to get saved?" Sir Vincent asks.

Ajax nodded and smiled at me

"Master doesn't deserve being treated like a nobody!" Ajax said innocently.

Aweee why is he so cute???

"So what we know is Ajax was awakened during the festival. Why didn't you show yourself earlier?" Sir Vincent asks again.

"I tried to, but I couldn't. But slowly, I felt free and last night, I was able to come out." Ajax explained.

"Hm, what does that mean? Abela, did anything weird happen last night?" Sir Vincent said still investigating.

"Well, every year, during this time I always had a dream about my past life's death." I said tilting my head

"I got it! Since you were given a second chance in life, there are side effects like those dreams. Ajax was also affected since he is connected with you.

To be honest, I only heard rumors that people can get the  Imperial family's spirit animal when you have a second chance in life." Sir Vincent explains.

So...that basically sounds like I have a purpose now.

I let my thoughts slip out of my mouth and say. "Maybe I was reborn to live a life I wasn't able to. In return, maybe I should save the world or something?"

I cover my mouth in surprise with what I said

Sir Vincent nodded and said
"That makes sense."

Ajax was just chilling.

"Should we tell the Archduke?" I ask.

"What do you think Ajax?" Sir Vincent looks at Ajax.

Ajax nodded and said "I'll do whatever master thinks is good."

I smile, really this kid. He is too precious!

The three of us walk back inside the mansion and head to the duke's office.

Sir Vincent knocks and says "Can I enter Master?"

"No." Father replies from inside.

"He's probably busy, let's come back later." I say.

"No, knock and ask if we can enter." Sir Vincent says.

I knock and say "Father! Can we enter?"

"Come in." He replies.

Ajax laughed, while Sir Vincent glares at him

What? Is father biased?

Ajax hid behind Sir Vincent who opened both doors.

We entered and the doors close by itself.

"What's the matter?" Father asks.

Ajax peeks behind Sir Vincent.

"Who is that child?" Father stops looking at his work and looks at us.

"I-I.." I felt nervous.

Ajax felt my fear, and stood beside me and said "Greetings Your Grace, my name is Ajax. I'm master Abela's Eagle spirit."

Father stares intensely at Ajax.

"Master, please let me explain."
Sir Vincent says.

Father stands up and goes infront of his desk, sitting on one of the long couch.

Sir Vincent called the maids to serve us tea and some snacks.

Sir Vincent sits infront of father, and I sit next to Sir Vincent, and cutie Ajax sits next to me.

After the maids left, Sir Vincent explained everything from the start, except how I lived in my past life. He lied by telling him good details, not saying I was abused or anything.

It's for the best, since it would just cause some unecessary feelings.

While explaining, I was feeding Ajax some crackers which he was very much enjoying.

Once Sir Vincent finished explaining, father didn't even speak once as his legs were crossed and his hand on his side head.

"Father, let me join the war. Atleast when I come of age." I confidently say.

Father stayed silent and then spoke "I'll think about it. Everyone will find out soon, so keep it a secret from anyone that's not an Ortiz. It would be dangerous to know that Abela has a royal spirit with her."

We all nod

We excused ourselves and left the office.

"Sir Vincent, can you teach me tomorrow?" I hesitantly ask him.

He smiles and places his hand on my head. "Sure."

"Where will Ajax stay?" I ask looking at Ajax.

"Yeah, where do I stay?" Ajax asks with me.

"I'll ask master about it, for now you and Ajax should go spend time together." Sir Vincent bows and goes inside the Archduke's office again.

"Ajax, let's go to the garden!" I say excitedly.

"Yay!" He responds.

We go sprint to the garden and go to the flower bushes.

"Isn't this beautiful?" I ask.

Ajax harshly nods

He's so cuteee

Ajax sat down on the grass leaning on the bush.

"Master, I saw a bit of your past life..I was able to read your mind before but now that I've been released I can't do that anymore.

Though I wish I could read your mind when I saw your past life." He frowns

"If you could read my mind back then...you would've been in tears."
I say as I put my hand on his head.

I continue, "so, it's better not to know." I smile.

It's for the best. Now, that life is gone. I should be thankful to be given another chance.

I have mission to accomplish.
