One thing is for sure, I was reborn.
Apparently my father is the Earl.Luckily, I studied well in my past life just in case this gets a little novel like.
I don't even know my name yet.
"Would you like to eat?" Idella asks me in a quiet tone.
Idella is my personal maid, she has brown hair that's always tied up. She has green eyes, and a beautiful smile.
I noticed that she was the only one willing to feed me and care for me, so I'm grateful.
Since I couldn't speak, all I could do was smile.
Idella lifts me up and feeds me bit by bit something that tasted like yogurt.
I guess they don't have baby formulas here.
The door slams open
Oh? Who's that?
"Lord Hardy!" Idella says in surprise
"Why are you feeding that? Did you spend money for that wench?" The Earl says in anger
"No my Lord, this was already bought long ago." Idella replies nervously
Long ago? Why is she feeding me this?
"Alright, next time just don't feed her." The Earl leaves.
What the?! That rude- you call yourself a father?! I can't believe people here treat me like crap I'm just a baby!
"I'm sorry Young miss, this is new food don't worry." Idella assures me.
She's so nice. The only person who's nice.
2 years later
Psh, I started walking at 1, and no one cared? Except for Idella of course.
I have to learn writing as soon as possible.
The door bursts open
"sell all of those baby clothes and anything that kid has to use. Give her a small room, and make sure to spend the least money as possible." Mother orders the maids
Even in my past life I was discriminated due to my birth. Why am I so unlucky?
I don't even know my name yet, no one is calling my name. It's either Child, wench, that thing, etc.
"Young miss, let's go upstairs to your new room." Idella smiles
Atleast I have her.
I enter my new room
It's average, there aren't any wallpaper, the bed is plain. There are alot of books, probably ones that are used. A wooden table and chair. And a small area for my plain clothes. And no mirrors.
That's it.
"Idella, look at this. This is like a maid's room." Another maid says sounding troubled
"Watch your mouth." Idella replies
The maid notices me and quickly leaves.
I turn to Idella who was more disappointed than me.
"Tank you fow always being
hewe fow me."(Thank you for always being here for me) Those words suddenly came out of my mouth.Idella gasped and said "Your first words! How can you..?"
I smiled and replied "Down't tell tem"
(Don't tell them)Idella, on the brink of tears nods.
A few days later
I hear a knock on my door.
The door opens to show an unfamiliar face and my mother entering.
"This is the child, don't have mercy." Mother told the unfamiliar woman.
The woman nods, and mother leaves.
"Good day lady Abela."
Abela...? So, that's my name.
"I will be your Ettiquete teacher from now on, and you must understand this is for your family." She says coldy
For my pfft- family?
"My name is Rose, refer to me as Teacher. Today will be your walking lesson, get ready." She says
She puts a book on my head
"Now walk, slowly."
I try to walk slowly, but the book falls
Teacher suddenly changes expression, a scary one in fact.
Then she brings out a whip.
"Pull up your skirt. You must know that you should never make mistakes." She says coldly.
I hesitantly pull my skirt, and she whips my legs a few times.
In pain, I drop to the floor sobbing.
"A lady must never cry." She angrily says.
I wipe my tears and stand up, and walk again and again.
For hours, I get many mistakes, til' I finally got it.
"Alright, I'll be back tomorrow." She slams the door.
I rush to the bed on my stomach, my legs hurt. I was sobbing on my pillow.
Not even a "good job" from her? I'm just a kid, why are they so harsh?
Now that I think about it, I haven't seen Idella all day.. oh well, maybe I'll see her tomorrow...
I drift to sleep.
