People made their way to the side, as they freed the hallway for him to walk past, Girls and teachers turned their heads, ready to catch another sight of him. People looked at him in awe, admiration and even fear. He was the top of the food chain, the strongest, the survivor.
Yukimura Seiichi made his way to the rooftop garden, smiling at the people who looked at him. He helped the bullied, treated everyone nicely, and was in everyone's good books. He did his duties, as it was important to keep up the perfect appearance. The child of God was a nickname he needed, bathed in and what people revered on.
However, with authority comes complications. People feared him, respected him- nobody thought that perhaps, he too was human, just a young teenager. Someone who needed friends as well. He knew many people, yet few are who he could call friends- someone who understood him for him.
It was hard for him to get friends, but he was thankful for his tennis team, who treated him as a friend. He didn't talk much to people of the other gender. Girls fawn at his status and ability, nobody was willing to dive down to see the real him. He didn't have a conversation where the girl wasn't praising and getting into his good books- until that day.
He genuinely smiled, amused at the strange girl who showed such a monsterous drawing of him. However strange that girl was, it was a precious moment for him. She was different.
He opened the door, feeling relieved that nobody was surrounding him, breathing out peacefully. He walked to the Sakura tree where the regulars always ate at, surprised to find someone else was occupying the spot.
'It's her', he thought, looking at the sleeping girl in front of him, head bobbing as a rice grain balanced precariously on the side of her chin.
He chuckled as he squatted down, wanting to help remove the rice grain on her chin. He took a closer look at her. She was pretty. Her pink hair that swayed with the wind matched her pale skin. As a strong wind passed, her face scrunched up before she let out a loud, "ACHOO!"
Yukimura Seiichi never imagined the day someone would dare sneeze in his face. People behaved well in front of him, by request or by threat. He watched as the girl rubbed her nose, finally realising the situation.
He half-expected her to freeze in fear or flirt with him- but she just apologised and tried scrambling to find a tissue, like a normal person.
He offered her a tissue, which she took, thanking and apologising. Nothing was normal when it occurred to Yukimura Seiichi.
She was normal, and normal was good.
