CHAPTER 19 - golf

"Yagyuu Hiroshi, Lei Ayumi. Take your places."

The ball bounced back and forth, as the players swung their racket quickly. Yagyuu and I were not using our full-strength, just testing each other's skills.

"Golf Swing!" The onlookers gasped, as the ball smacked on an unreachable corner of Lei Ayumi's court.

"Yagyuu Hiroshi, 2 games to 1"

I gripped my racket as I eyed Yagyuu who casually pushed his glasses up. I noted the strange golf-like position that Yagyuu used before humming in approval.

"Senpai! I'll do what I promised you." I smirked, as I threw the ball in the air. I decided to use my non-returnable whirlwind serve. Although Yagyuu tried very hard to figure out the location of where the ball would bounce to, he was ultimately unable to, allowing me to get a service ace.

"Lei Ayumi, 2 games all!"

I smiled, as we continued a rally. I wanted to break the Golf swing that Yagyuu used, so I monitored him before I did the same exact action that brought out Golf Swing.

"Yagyuu Hiroshi 15-0"

I was closer to the ball but it was too far for me to return. I twitched my lips, swearing to break his Golf Swing. We continued in a rally again, and he realised what I was trying to do, thus he continued to send out his Golf Swing. The more he used it, I got closer until I finally touched the ball with my racket. However, the ball did not manage to go past my net, causing me to 'tch' and stare at the ball.

"Yagyuu Hiroshi, 3-2"

The regulars looked on, and were observing the game when Yukimura spoke to Sanada. "Did you realise it?"

Sanada glanced at Yukimura before replying, "Her skills are good, to reach Yagyuu's Golf Swing...but her stamina is bad. If her stamina was better, Yagyuu would be crushed."

Yukimura nodded his head in agreement, as his eyes twinkled, a small smile gracing his lips. Nobody knew what Yukimura was thinking and they didn't want to find out as well, as they knew how sadistic their captain was.

The game dragged on, and the orange hues of the sunset basked in the tennis court, however, nobody took notice of the beautiful sight as they were focused on the game that occurred in front of their eyes.

"Golf Swing!"

As the regulars waited for another free point for Yagyuu, they realised that not only had she caught up to the ball, she managed to return the Golf Swing with a resounding smack.

She cracked it!
