"Argh..." I groaned, pressing the alarm.

I flipped the phone open, surprised at the countless messages sent by Bunta.

'I'll pick you up for school today, I don't want you getting harmed by my fangirls~!' I noted the last message sent by Bunta, as I wore my school uniform. I picked up a sandwich right as the bell rang. My mother went to open the door as I chewed on my sandwich.

"Ohayo, Ruhi-san. I'm here to bring Ayumi to school!" Marui says as he enters the living room. As I made eye contact with him, he hugged me.

"You stupid ass- Hurry up or we'll be late to-" Marui exclaims, shocked as he noticed the tennis bag that was placed on the floor. He quirked an eyebrow at me, pointing at the bag.

I shrugged my shoulders, ignoring his question. We made our way out of the house, Marui carrying both of our bags.

"You know, you should really control your fangirls! People are being hostile to me because they think that you are my boyfriend. Who would even date you? " You gagged, as he 'tsk'-ed you.

"Just hang out with us from now onwards. We would protect you, y'know." Marui casually replies as both of you reach the school gates.

I took my tennis bag from him, as he walked me to my class. I was surprised when he pushed open the door, entering the class with me.

"This girl is my best friend. Whoever treats her badly, is going against me- and the tennis team!" He shouts, draping a hand on my shoulder.

"You..." I called out, as he left my classroom. Suddenly, my classmates rushed around the classroom- most probably changing my table.

I sat down noting the sparkly clean table, as I heard my seatmate clear her throat.

"Ayumi...I'm sorry, I didn't expect-" You cut her apology off, with a look.

"Now you're apologising? I don't need it." I continued quietly. She was about to open her mouth, but she shut it- noticing the teacher who just entered the class. After lessons ended for the day, you decided to head to the sports committee room.

"Mr Takahashi? I would like to take back my club application form. Would it be okay?" I asked, internally panicking at my rushed decision to apply for the badminton team previously. He nods his head, returning the form to me.

"You're lucky that I didn't have the time to sort out this paperwork yet."

I heaved a sigh, crushing the paper and throwing it in the rubbish bin.

Clutching my tennis bag, I made my way to the tennis court.
