Time around me seemed non-existent at this point. It's been a while since I spent the Saturday in my room and my phone was taken away. The sun rays illuminating my room through the windows showed how much my captivity has emptied the colour out of it. My school books stacked messily on top of each other on my bed, but I didn't touch any of them. I was lucky my mother was busy working in the dining room all day, so she didn't check on me at all unless I made too much noise. I reclined down on my bed, my head hanging off the side when I suddenly spotted something under my bed.

I kneeled on the floor, reaching under and pulling whatever it was out. I managed to pull out a cardboard box, small enough to fit under my bed. Oh, this is all the stuff I had in the attic in my old house. I guess I forgot to unpack it. I opened the flaps gently, noticing a black case hidden beneath all the untouched toys I hadn't had the time to give away. Inside the case was a grimy, mini keyboard piano, covered in a thick layer of dust. At first, I had no idea where this came from, but suddenly a memory came back. I got this a couple of years back and taught myself how to play with a couple of TubeTube video tutorials. But after a while, I lost sight of it. I blew away the dust, slightly coughing when I unexpectedly exhaled some of it as it was burning my throat. With the dirt off the instrument, the colours began to show more but were slightly dimmed and decayed by the fact that I haven't used it in a while. I pressed a key on the keyboard and it played a high, harmonious sound. I wonder if I still remember how to play this.

Steven walked across the beach with a ukulele in his hand. He was making his way over to my house, doubting my mum would let him see me. As he approached the front door, he paused. He was hearing something. A beautiful melody was being played nearby and it numbed his physical senses. His head turned to where the sound was coming from and he felt he had no choice but the follow it. He went around the house, approaching a bedroom window that was a little taller than him. This is someone else's house, he shouldn't be snooping like this. But he really wanted to know who's making that melody. He planted his fingers on the window frame, lifted himself with his tippy-toes and peered through the window. (Y/N)?

He saw me, playing on a keyboard. My brows were narrowed and my eyes locked onto the instrument as my face was encased in concentration. Steven wasn't familiar with the song I was playing, but that didn't stop him from enjoying it. He gazed down at his ukulele in his grip as his brown-hued eyes ignited in giddiness.

I heard gentle knocking on the window that caused me to stop. My eyes widened at the sight of Steven waving at me from beyond the glass. I dropped the keyboard, my face red and flushed with distress. Did he hear me playing?

I approached the window, opening the glass pane, "Steven! What the heck are you doing at my window?".

"I came to ask your mum if I could keep you company. And then I saw you playing that", Steven pointed at the colourful keyboard on my bed, which I attempted to use my body and hide it from his sight. My head bowed down, as my eyes pierced holes into the ground as they were filled with obstinate hostility.

"I didn't know you could play". I scoffed, kicking the ground with my heel, showing my contempt for the stupid instrument. "I don't", I folded my sleeves over each other, sticking my nose into the air, rigidly. "I haven't played the dumb thing in years". Steven smiled, struggling to lift himself up to the window and sit on the frame, letting his legs dangle inside my room.
