"STEVEN!".
My eyes managed to snap open, coated with cold sweat and my heart pounding against my chest, and I looked around sceptically and paradoxically around the room, without removing my head from the pillow. I was a tiny motel room, it was a little confined but was still decent. I rubbed my head and my eyes and tried to arouse my senses, fully. A surge of pain rushed up my neck, making me wince slightly. The sun, or any glow that was not obscured by the clouds, shone brightly through the window, giving me relief and soaking away the portions of terror I had inside.
"(Y/N), you're awake!", I heard Greg's voice from beside me. "Don't move too much! I got you an ice pack". He approached me, with a blue, chilly package his hands which he could hardly keep his grip onto. Handing it to me, I applied the cold pack onto my neck where I felt the most pain. It took me a moment to control my arms from jerking away from the injury every time I would press the pack on it. "Do you need anything else?", Greg asked, "A glass of water? A blanket? Does that pack need more ic--?".
"Can you stop asking me stupid questions? I clearly don't need anything!", I huffed at him. Greg was stunned but didn't say anything back. He knew about my hostile tone and attitude from his son. Steven told his dad how sometimes I could get a little contentious from time to time, but he knew deep down that I never meant any of the insults I shout out and I'm a really kind person. Although, Greg couldn't really see any kindness seeping through me.
"Whe--Where is...", I swallowed a mouthful of air, feeling the light dizziness in my head before continuing. "Where's Steven?". Greg glanced to the side in almost a shameful manner. I cocked a brow at him, waiting for an answer that I was most likely not going to like. "Your guess is as good as mine", he said.
I rummaged through my memories, attempting to remember the events that lead me here. It was then that everything came flooding back. The handship. What happened to Garnet. Steven being unconscious. Jasper...
"We have to do something", I said, leaving the ice pack on the bed. "Steven needs help! What if they hurt him? What if they never let him come back?". I began to rise from the bed, but Greg instantly placed a hand on my shoulder and sat me back down, earning a rigid glare from me. "What are you doing?!", I cried.
"(Y/N), I understand you're feeling worried. But, there's nothing we can do. They took Steven and the Gems into space, how are you supposed to get to him?". My eyes met the floor in despair. My fists tightened lightly, feeling inside me the empty and hollowness. There was nothing I could do. But there was something I should've done. I never should've peeved off Jasper like that. I should've taken Steven and ran, but I was so engulfed in awe that I thought too quickly. I applied more pressure on my neck, wincing under my breath, but not loud enough for Greg to hear.
"I hope he's ok...".

Steven's soft fingers felt his face, noticing the bruise on his eye. The pain wasn't too bad, so he was able to overlook it quickly. His weary eyes glanced around, acknowledging the cell he was contained in. When he saw no-one else in the cell with him, he began to call out, "Amethyst? Pearl?".
But he didn't hear any voices answer back. His eyes dropped down to his feet, "(Y/N)...Where is she?". Steven clutched his eyes tightly, gritting his teeth, attempting to remember what happened before he arrived here. Come on, Steven! His head was thumping audibly, and the pain was almost unbearable. He tried his best to ignore it, but it was improbable. Nevertheless, he still managed the recall something.
