Responsibility

"How it has happened, Baekhyun? How many times I said you that I am not ready yet to take such responsibility," Chanyeol says taking rapid breathes.

" I don't know about what you are talking.....," Baekhyun says confusedly.

" If you were bit concerned,it wouldn't happen. You are pregnant, Baekhyun," Chanyeol says with disappointed expression.

"That's not possible. I will take the test again......," Baekhyun doesn't know what to say more.

"Do you think I didn't think of this? Doctor has confirmed you are about 5 weeks pregnant.Whether we don't want to believe it or not,but you are," Chanyeol ruffles his hair in so much disappointment.

"Even if it has happened,why you are blaming me? What's my fault when I couldn't stop you for having unprotected sex for several times constantly?  Only because of you I even used to take contraceptive pills twice or thrice a day. What can I do if it fails? It's you who.......," Baekhyun can't hold himself longer understanding Chanyeol is not happy with such news of unexpected pregnancy.  Tears start to overflow his eyes.

"Why are you crying now? Crying won't help us to solve it," Chanyeol sighs.

"What do you mean by solve, Chanyeol?" Baekhyun forgets to take breath. Is Chanyeol  talking about get rid of this baby?

"Don't cry," Chanyeol sits beside Baekhyun and wipes tears from Baekhyun's cheeks," as it has happened already there's nothing to do anymore. At least mom and dad are happy about this."

"Only mom and dad? Chanyeol, what's wrong? Why you can't be happy? We are married. Sooner or later it was about to happen," Baekhyun tries to understand what's inside Chanyeol's mind.

"Everything requires a perfect timing , Baekhyun. And this is nothing but wrong timing for both of us," Chanyeol sighs while standing up from Baekhyun's bed.

3 days later...

What Baekhyun knows that Chanyeol is taking care of him,but he is maintaining an awkward distance that he never maintained after building up their relationship in this marriage. Baekhyun has tried his best to cut away this awkwardness,but Chanyeol has added more fuel on it.

"What's wrong, Chanyeol?" Baekhyun asked once.

"Isn't it usual during pregnancy? It's safe to maintain distance. You know me better, I won't be able to control myself like before," Chanyeol  indicates that Baekhyun blamed his horniness as the cause of this pregnancy. He continues,

" Soooo.....
.. It's better to act nanny from now. Nanny or nun , whatever ......"

Baekhyun remains silent hearing such unexpected thinking from Chanyeol. What's wrong to accept the truth? Everything in life doesn't happen according to plan.

Baekhyun looks over the flowers and chocolates that Chanyeol's aunt has brought for him to congratulate on this pregnancy. Everyone of Park family is happy with this news except the baby's own father. Mrs Park has noticed Baekhyun's absent minded behaviour today. She starts to talk about it,as Chanyeol's aunt takes leave from Park mansion.

"Anything wrong, Baekhyun?"

Baekhyun never thought to talk about the problem he is facing with Chanyeol to talk outside. But it's becoming unbearable,so it's better to talk right now,

"I really have something to tell you,eomma."

"Just say it."

Baekhyun bites his lower lip to gain courage to say what he wanted to say for few days," This ... This is not a planned pregnancy. It's totally unplanned and Chanyeol is not happy with it."

Baekhyun completes the sentences in one breathe and looks into Mrs Park's eyes for her reaction.

"Is there anything not to be happy?" Mrs Park says confusedly.

"I really don't know," Baekhyun sniffs while trying not to cry.

"This is nothing but just wrong timing,mom. I am not ready to take such responsibility. I am trying to build up my life,but now there's responsibility of another new life is going to be added," Chanyeol says in frustrated voice.

"I really can't believe my own son is talking like this infront of me. Why you are so selfish only thinking it's a burden to you. Has Baekhyun yet complained a bit when he's gonna endure such responsibility for long time alone when you will be in mission? Has Baekhyun whined a bit saying it's gonna hamper his career when he is just in middle of a course. But what's about you? Can you tell me when it will be perfect timing? One or two years later? Why bit sooner will be wrong? I even had you so early. I got you even before proper understanding built up between us after marriage. He was struggling with his career right then. We had taken you as a blessing for our new life. Baby Park is gonna be great blessing , Chanyeol. None you forcing you to get prepared mentally right now. Nine months are enough to prepare yourself mentally slowly."

" I really don't know how Baekhyun will endure with  such time alone when I will be gone. The more I think, the more I feel it's my fault. I can't help but regret as Baekhyun has to undergo longer time alone during my unavoidable mission," Chanyeol says while coming out of his arrogant personality.

"But now what you are doing that's hurting Baekhyun more. Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, believe it or not. May be it's better to happen right now, that's why it has happened. Just don't keep reminding him all day that it's unplanned and you are disappointed for it. If Baekhyun is hurt,the baby will get hurt. If Baekhyun is happy,then the baby is happy. I will bring up the baby,okay? It will not hamper the way of your life that you want to lead.But don't be like this, Chanyeol. Oneday you will know the baby is actually a great blessing for you."
