Lisbon's POV

She was in the middle of telling them about the part where the boy had kissed her, when Jane suddenly got up, gave her the magazine and said he had to go do something. Both she and Kim were shocked at his sudden departure and the look on his face.

"What was that?" asked Kim watching Jane walk away.

"I don't know... it can be anything," she answered as she felt an angry blush on her cheeks. "You'll just have to get used to that – Jane runs hot and cold all the time."

She felt hurt that after insisting all on this hoopla, he just up and left in the middle of her story. What was his problem anyway? Kim asked her for the magazine and she passed it over to her.

"Where's the postcard?" she asked as she was flipping through the magazine.

Lisbon tried to find it again, but it was gone. It had been in there... she didn't imagine it. They started looking on the floor for it in case it had slipped out, but after a couple of minutes, she became certain that Jane had taken it. For what reason, she had no idea. Kim asked her a few more questions about her first kiss and shared her own story – but she barely heard because she was steaming inside.
