Lisbon's POV

He rolled out of bed and put on his boxers. "I'll make you some breakfast... I'm hungry for some reason," he said then winked at her.

She grabbed his shirt from yesterday laying on the floor, put it on and sat on the sofa. It felt so strange to be in this intimate situation with Jane – he was making her breakfast wearing only his boxer. Although, she was enjoying the view.

"Like the view Lisbon?" he said as though he was reading her mind. "I'm not a piece of meat you know, I have feelings too!" he said teasingly.

"Oh hush!" she said, then added. "And yes, I'm really loving the view. Who knew you were hiding this under your suits. I've never seen you go to a gym or mention any kind of exercise really."

"Exercise is boring... but, I did have the great fortune of touring with this acrobat in my younger years and he taught me a little routine to do in the mornings – takes just 20 minutes – keeps me in shape without too much effort. Back in the day it was important that I be able to, you know... run, if I needed to," he said shrugging.

"Maybe you can show me some time," she said suggestively.

He gave her a knowing smile and continued making their breakfast. A few minutes later, he handed her a full plate with all the trimmings and she wondered how she would eat it all. He was watching her over his cup of tea.

"What?" she asked.

"Ah – I have a bit of an awkward question actually," he said biting his inner lip again.

"O-kay... ask away," she said wondering what he wanted to ask her.

"Are you on birth control?" he asked.

The bite of toast caught in her throat. She coughed, and he came and patted her back.

"You okay?" he asked with concern.

"Mm, yes. Sorry," – she cleared her throat – "Yes. I am. On birth control."

He looked relieved by her answer. She added that to the list of unknown territory with Jane. Kids – did he want them again or not – but she wasn't touching that topic right now.

'Great!' he answered and started eating.
