"That's the worst idea I've ever heard."

"What the hell are you saying? It's brilliant!"

"How is it brilliant? This is not a necessity!"

"Logan, I thought you'd be supportive, come on!"

"I do like trying new things just to see if they work. Experiments are entertaining to me but not this!"

"Lo-"

"Roman Walsh." Logan crossed his arms over his chest. "Repeat your idea and simply listen to yourself. You're being ridiculous."

"All I want is to detach this apartment from the ground-"

"Already stupid."

"Let me finish. Then get as many balloons as possible to raise it up like in the movie Up, and underneath the house we light a huge fire to roast the house like a marshmallow just to see what happens! Maybe it'll turn mushy? Maybe it'll-"

"Stop right there, Roman. You're seriously seeing nothing wrong with this plan? As much as I'd appreciate seeing something so strange, this would not work. First of all, we are both middle class and should be spending our money more wisely than to buy who knows how many balloons. Then, if it is possible to raise the building high enough, which it's not, lighting a fire will destroy all the grass and trees we live by. Earth is already suffering enough. If we are able to safely light the fire in a confined space, the intense heat along with, oh, I don't know, the scorching Los Angeles sun, will cause the molecules in the balloons to move to the ends until the balloons will all pop before there is much effect on the building, if any at all. The apartment building will fall into the fire, possibly killing the other people living here, and you will definitely not win your court case."

Roman blinked several times before he said, "Science, science, blah blah blah. I almost fell asleep."

"Student debt is a real thing. You are not buying an abundance of balloons."

"Hey-"

"No. Nope. Shut up. I no longer wish to babysit an 18 year old. Go to sleep, we have exams tomorrow."

Roman huffed but went to get ready for bed. He'd already taken a shower, so he just did his standard skincare routine and brushed his teeth.

He put in his AirPods and started his main playlist on shuffle. They were all his songs that weren't show tunes or Disney music.

Roman was only six months younger than Virgil, and when he listened to his music or saw a gorgeous photo of him online, he wondered if they'd make good friends if they ever got to meet.

He was one of Virgil's original fans, following him before he reached 10k followers on Instagram, when nobody knew him as anything more than just another Soundcloud artist. Back then, he must have been 14 while Virgil was 15 and Virgil had liked, commented, and even reposted Roman's fanart.

Roman wished Virgil could see the newer fanart which had a definite increase in quality since he was 14.

Anyways, Virgil's album release date was on Roman's birthday, and Roman considered that a huge birthday gift.

Virgil put on a hat, blue colored contacts, and a white mask that covered his nose and mouth. He reached far back into his closet for his disguise outfits which were all brighter and pastel colors he wouldn't usually go for. He liked the style, and he was glad it could also count as a disguise.

The colored contacts hid his natural hazel eye color, and he also filled in his eyebrow slit with makeup.

Not that he didn't like the positive attention and taking photos with people who loved him before they even really knew him, but occasionally he just wanted to go out on his own. Body guard free.
