3.6 Bunker Birds

▪️Acacia POV ▪️

Pulling into the ARC with Connor in the passenger seat but I wish I told him to sit in the back.

"What does this do?" He asked as he pushed a button getting cold air coming from the air vent into his face.

Serves him right

"Connor what part of don't touch, don't you understand" I growl at him.

"Sorry" he muttered as I went to get out of the car before a thought came to me.

"Connor, I know putting your socks in the bread maker keeps them warm but will you please not do it as we use that" I tell him only to get a sheepish smile from him.

Getting out of the car and opening the boot only to see a site that caused me to freeze.

"Connor!"

He jumped at his name and immediately jumped out of the car to see what was wrong.

I pointed to the adorable creature in my boot as he came to stand beside me, looking at Sid chewing paper.

"Oh hello" he cooed at Sid.

"These papers were classified!" I tell him feeling my anger rise.

"Probably going to shred them anyways" Connor reasoned.

After Connor went to bed I searched my house papers on anomalies that Cutter sent me home with and now there in pieces, we are back at square one.

"Why isn't your Diictodon obedient as mine Connor?" I ask him as we enter the ARC.

"I don't know, maybe he's a free sprint" he answers before leaving me to find Sarah whilst I walk to the armoury.

I've known Connor since I moved here at sixteen, him and Tom and Duncan helped me move into my house and we became good friends and he even lived with me before moved out into Abby's, I was fine with him living with me but it's Connor, I know some of his habits but since living with Abby he's picked up some new ones.

"Hey" a voice brought me out of my thoughts I know to well.

"Hi" I replied with a smile which he sent one back.

"How are you?" he still asks me since my break down.

"I'm good apart from finding socks in my bread maker" I tell him getting a confused look back.

"I have Connor living with me again since he had no way else to go" I say.

"Why is he living with you? I thought he was living with Abby?" he says and I think I could tell a hint of jealously?

"Abby's little brother is in town and living with her, explaining why Connor is with me he gave up his room for him" I tell him with a little chuckle, he doesn't need to be jealous of Connor.

"You don't need to be jealous of Connor, I've known him since I was sixteen".

"Really".

"Yeah, him and his friends helped me move in and since then we've been friends, we all went to the same university did different subjects but we graduated, half way through our last year we started to work with Cutter leaving them in the dark and something happened" I say cutting myself before I got to Tom.

We sat in a comfortable silence until one of Becker's man walked into the armoury.

"The boss would like to see you, Captain".
