▪️Acacia POV▪️

I was leaning against Cutter's table as him and Sarah were talking about the intruder from last week and what will it do with the ARC but considering this is about Helen it's about the whole world.

"You know I've always liked modern art" James droned as he walked into the room as normal hands behind his back "it's so uncompromising".

He slowly walked towards the matrix in Cutter's office.

"Its very specific model showing the exact location and dates" Cutter argued before getting cut off from Lester.

"Of anomaly appearances throughout history, I know".

"Just don't touch it" Cutter gritted his teeth at Lester who walked within meters of the matrix.

He looked at the model closely before deciding it be easier to listen to Cutter than argue about metal poles so he just edged his way around.

"Ah Acacia," Lester said as he spotted me "any news on Helen Cutter".

"Ok I know I've been spending time most of my time with Becker but I'm not full security," I tell him "but if you must know he's instigated a complete review of security" I grumbled.

"Are you sure the intruder was her doing?" he demanded as he looks between me and Cutter.

"I can't think of anyone else who could create a replica of a dead man" Cutter stared off into space and answered absentmindedly.

"Keep everyone on high alert" Lester spins on his heel, looking at the matrix again "if Helen's back should be extremely worried".

Once he exited the room silence was raised for a moment until I broke it.

"I'll go and tell Becker" I muttered as I push my self of the table and exit the room.

I made it to the door frame of the hub before walking forward a few steps until I was pushed from my right, realising I was staring at the floor the whole time I walked straight in front of the man I need to speak with.

"Bloody hell, I'm sorry" I apologise as I stepped back to look at him.

"It's no problem Thalia" Becker said in amusement ever since the haunted house Becker has gone to call me about my middle name as everyone else calls me by my first name or just Cia.

"Lester wants you and your men on high alert" I tell him.

"Well for him information it's already done" he tells me.

Just as he finished Lester comes up to us, with a more serious face.

"Acacia I need to speak with you in private" he tells me.

Looking at him then Becker "I'll see you later" which he nods at and walks through the door leading to the armoury.

Walking with Lester is like get sent off to the principal office.

"I've had contact from your father," Lester said.

"What does he want now" I grit my teeth.

Growing up with a father who has a Military background is tough and being the only child he and my mother had was harder. I was treated like one of his soldiers most of the time and not a daughter, our relationship has always strained and it did put pressure on my father and mother's marriage, as my mother didn't like how my father is training me at a young age, I did feel guilty putting pressure on her I didn't want her to choose between me and father. It wasn't until a few days after Stephen was killed that I received a phone call from my father telling me that my mother had died from a heart attack and my father blamed me for putting work before family.
