Chapter 11

A/N: Hi everyone, sorry for the delayed update this time. I was busy for my WFH set up =( I always tell myself that I'll just rest for a while tapos I'll do the update later but I ended up sleeping instead (*/_＼) So ito na ang pambawi ko: mej mahaba ang chap na 'to (total of almost 8 pages with font Bree serif, size 11 sa Google Docs) and I hope you guys enjoy it! Chapter 11 -- Pursue Her

— Flashback —

"Archer!"

I called his name out loud when I saw him standing at the railings of the hallway, waiting for me to finish my classes. His face lightened when our gaze met each other.

Patakbo akong lumapit sa kanya at tumayo sa tabi niya. "Hey." I greeted him.

"Hey." he placed his hand on top of my head and caressed it. He smiled at me.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, hindi kasi ako natapos on-time sa exam. You know, crucial ang subject na 'to." napakamot ako ng ulo.

From my head, bumaba ang kamay niya sa baba ko at pinisil ito ng mahina. "You're going to pass it. Ikaw pa ba?"

I grinned at him.

"Tara na? Medyo nagugutom na ako." ngumisi siya pabalik sa akin.

I felt a little bit guilty dahil napag-antay ko siya. I'm going to make it up for him.

Nagsimula na kaming maglakad tapos hinawakan ko siya sa hips niya. "I'm sorry. I didn't know na mahihirapan pala ako dun sa exams."

He just shook his head. "Don't be. Maaga lang natapos yung lecture namin kanina. Where do you want to eat?"

"Sa Marcia's?" recommend ko. It's a cozy mini-restaurant outside the uni's premises. Sikat ito sa mga estudyante hindi lang sa amin kundi pati na rin sa ibang university and colleges na dumadayo pa dito para lang kumain doon. It's price is just enough for struggling students without compromising the food's quality.

He nodded, "Tara na."

And off we go.

Since Wednesday ngayon, bihira lang ang estudyanteng kumakain. I don't know what's the history behind it pero ever since na mag-aral ako sa University na pinapasukan ko, Wednesday talaga ang pinaka-off day sa buong linggo. Most students had no classes every Wednesday. Rumor has it says na tradition na daw ito. It's kinda weird.

I ordered a set meal from their all-day breakfast menu - cornsilog, soup, and an ice cold coke. Archer ordered pancakes. I don't know what his deal is.

Natawa ako nang dumating ang order namin, "Sure ka dyan? Pancakes? Why?" as far as I know, heavy eater siya. Never in my imagination na kakain siya ng fluffy pancakes for lunch. Is he sick? He better not be. Finals season pa man din.

He grinned while he focused on pouring syrup on it. "Nagsasanay lang. Sa pupuntahan ko kasi baka walang kanin doon."

My forehead creased. "Huh? And where are you going? Somewhere beyond the sea?" we haven't talked about him going elsewhere.

Huh, Yuri Shin. Nagtaka ka pa. As if may label na kayong dalawa ni Archer Yoon. You've been more than friends, less than lovers for the past six months and you haven't made anything official yet.

"Somewhere around the land down under." he cryptically answered me tapos nagsimula na siyang kumain.

Maybe he's joking with me. Ganyan naman siya, his words don't have any funny bones - little did I know, nagjo-joke na pala siya.
