as soon as jeon's got home, everyone washed up and went the bed. jeongguk however stayed up. he had finally met prince jimin, someone who he had admired for so long.
jeongguk remembered how breathtaking jimin was when he met him. he had to leave early so they wouldn't see him blush.
sitting in bed, he opened the letter that was given to him by jimin.
do not fall in love with me. i am in love with someone else, prince taehyung. but please, do not tell a soul.

"jeongguk?" asked his mother, "what is the matter? you have been stuck in your room for the majority of the day. are you sick?"
jeongguk shook his head, "of course not," he said, "i just wanted to be alone today."
"how was the ball last night?" she asked, changing the subject, "what did you think of prince jimin?"
jeongguk's heart ripped a bit as he plastered a smile at his mother, "he was amazing," he answered, "everything i imagined."
the queen smiled, "that's great," she said, "because tomorrow you are to join him at the orphanage."
jeongguk's eyes widened, "what?"
the queen smiled, "queen park and i decided you both must get to know one another before you be wedded. tomorrow is a day just for that."
jeongguk didn't know what to say.

"tomorrow?!" jimin exclaimed, "but i am—"
"you have plans tomorrow?" his mother questioned, "i wasn't aware."
i was going to meet up with taehyung... but it seems not.
"no," jimin said, "i don't have any."
the queen smiled, "good then," she said, "tomorrow you are to spend time with jeongguk at the orphanage. take time to get to know him, after all, he'll be your husband soon."

the orphanage. jimin was waiting for the other prince to arrive, so far, two minutes late.
soon jeongguk's car appeared, "sorry," the prince said, "i lost track of time—"
"save it," jimin said and walked towards the orphanage. jeongguk sighed but folllwed.
jimin knocked on the door and it opened to reveal a middle aged women, "your highness," she said with a smile and told him to come in, then noticed another person, "oh, and he is..?"
"his fian—"
"—a friend," jimin said with a smile. the women looked at jeongguk, who nodded.
"my name is jeongguk," he said with a smile, "nice to meet you."
"nice to meet you jeongguk, you can call me mrs.hyun," she said with a smile, she then turned her attention to jimin, "i'll leave him in your hands your highness," she said and left.
as soon as she left jimin gestured jeongguk to follow him. they walked through a white hallway to a door that had a sign, "flowers".
before twisting the door knob jimin turned to jeongguk, "we are here to play with the children. to keep them company. once it is lunch time, we leave. understand?"
jeongguk nodded. jimin turned around and twisted the door knob, "hello everyone," he said with a smile as he entered the room.
"jimin!" cheered the children as they gathered around him. jeongguk smiled at the sight, jimin was smiling genuinely for the first time. it made jeongguk's heart race.
"everyone," jimin said, "this is jeongguk, he's here to play too." everyone said hello to jeongguk.
soon the kids were playing, whether it was with each other, or with jimin. since jeongguk was new they didn't really go near them. jeongguk understood, so he just walked around and watched the kids play.
it made him smile, made him remember hani. jeongguk was watching everyone when he saw a girl by herself. she was alone sitting on the grass outside under a tree with a teddy bear.
jeongguk stepped outside, "hello," he said approaching the girl with a smile, "can i sit next to you?"
the girl was quiet, but nodded. jeongguk thanked her and sat next to her, "im new here, my name is jeongguk," he said, "what's yours?"
"my name is hana," the girl said quietly.
"nice to meet you hana," jeongguk said, "are you playing?"
the girl nodded, "this is teddy. teddy is my friend here."
"you don't play with the other kids?" jeongguk asked.
"they think i'm weird," she replied a bit sad, "because i have green eyes."
jeongguk frowned, "just because you have green eyes?" why are kids so mean. the girl nodded.
"well," jeongguk said with a small smile, "i think they are cool. no one else has them, but you. it makes you special."
the girl looked at him, she smiled, "really? there are cool?"
jeongguk nodded. the girl's smile widened, "do you want to play with me?" she asked. jeongguk nodded and they began to play.
jimin was taking a little break and watched the other kids, when he looked outside to see jeongguk playing with a girl.
both the girl and jeongguk looked happy as they laughed and smiled. it was the first time jimin had seen jeongguk like that.
"wow," said a voice which made jimin turn, "your friend is good."
"what do you mean mrs.hyun?" jimin asked as he looked back at jeongguk.
"that girl's name is hana. she came a few days ago, the kids wouldn't play with her since she has green eyes. some kids tease her about it. she's a very quiet girl. she barely speaks to me. it's the first time i've seen her this happy."
jimin looked between hana and jeongguk, they were happy.
