13 👑 change of heart

taehyung and jimin sat outside, "jimin," taehyung said, "i wanted to tell you something but i had to tell you at the right time."

"what is it?"

"i'm getting married."

jimin smiled weakly, "really?"

taehyung nodded, "i've known your feelings about me," taehyung went on, "i noticed the way you looked at me and behaved near me. that's why i wanted to wait for the right time."

"what right time?" asked jimin confused.

"the time where your eyes dont spark for me but for someone else."

jimin was going to ask what he was talking about but taehyung beat him to it, "i noticed the way you looked at jeongguk. you like him. when you came up to me, i saw the spark that is normally in your eyes not longer there. that's when i knew your feelings for me are gone."

jimin remained quiet, "jimin, you like jeongguk. i am happy for you."

jimin looked at taehyung, "thank you," he said with a smile. i like jeongguk. i really do. i have to tell him the next time i see him.

"your highness," said the servant, "the queen would like to speak to you."

taehyung smiled, "well i told you what i had to tell you," he said to jimin, "i should be going now. i'll send you my wedding invitation soon."

"mother?" jimin asked he entered her room, "you wanted to see me?"

"yes jimin," she said and quickly stood up," jeongguk is ill, i want you to visit him."

jimin's eyes widened, "is it serious?"

"not life threatening, but he is ill. can you visit him tomorrow?" she asked.

jimin nodded, "i will."

"jeongguk? are you feeling better?" hani asked a bit worriedly, "did you like the story i read?"

jeongguk smiled, "yes, i liked it but you shouldn't be here. you'll get sick."

hani frowned, "i need to make sure the villain isn't getting sick or else when jimin visits he won't be saved. you will take him away."

take him away. 

jeongguk chuckled, "you like jimin huh?"

hani nodded. "uh, hani?" asked jeongguk, "what would you do if i didn't marry him?" hani looked at him in curiosity, "you aren't going to marry him?"

"no, i mean, what if he has another prince?"

"jimin has another prince?" hani asked, "then we have to save him! it is an evil prince! oh no!"

jeongguk smiled as she began to make a fantastical situation. then there was a knock on the door, "mother," said jeongguk.

"hani, leave jeongguk, he needs to rest. why don't you go play with your toys?" she said and hani nodded. hani left the room and jeongguk's mom came in, "how do you feel? still terrible?"

"yeah," jeongguk answered, "but i should be better in a couple of days."

"jeongguk," she said, "jimin and his mother are coming over to visit you."

jeongguk's eyes widened, "w-what do you mean?"

"i told them that you were ill so they insisted on visiting," she explained, "i hope you don't mind."

jeongguk gave a weak smile, "i don't mind," he lied. his mother thanked him and let him rest.

"luna," said queen jeon said to queen park the two hugged one another as jimin entered, "prince jimin," she said, "welcome and thank you for visiting."

"my fiancee is sick, so it is natural from me to visit, theres not need to thank me," jimin replied.

the queens smile at jimin's answer. "you know where jeongguk's room is right?"

jimin nodded, "i'll head over," he said and went up the stairs.

queen jeon then turned to queen park, "i need to talk to you about something," she said and they went to the library.

"your highness," said a servant coming from jeongguk's room, "what are you doing up here?"

"my mother and i came to visit jeongguk since we were told he is ill," jimin explained, "may i see him?"

the servant nodded and jimin made his way to jeongguk's room.

"jeongguk?" he said knocking on the door and peaking inside, "how are you feeling?"

"jimin?" jeongguk said closing his book, "what are you doing here? aren't you supposed to be with mother?"

jimin looked at him weirdly, "weren't you told that mother and i are here to visit you?"

jeongguk nodded, "but i thought you won't come."

"why not?"

jeongguk shrugged, "i thought we weren't that close enough for that."

jimin shook his head, "we are engaged jeongguk," he said, "we can visit each other when the other is sick."

jeongguk's eyes widened, "you just called me—"

"my fiancee? yes, that's because you are."
