the trip up the stairs and down the hallway was silent. jeongguk didn't know what to say or ask, while jimin didn't want to talk.
finally arriving jeongguk twisted the knob and opened his bedroom door.
"here's the room you'll be staying in during the visit," jeon said as jimin walked in and looked around.
"it's very nice," he said and looked at the desk, "but it looks like it belongs to someone already."
"yeah," jeongguk said a bit embarrassed, "it's acutally my room."
jimin turned around and looked at him in disbelief, "what?"
"apparently mother thought it would be wiser if we shared the same bed to get to know one another. since that's what this trip all about. getting to know one another," jeongguk explained.
why me. whY ME. jimin thought but nodded in reply, "i see," he said, "i suppose they know we aren't close since they aren't scared to put us in one bed. they know nothing will happen."
jeongguk looked puzzled, "what do you mean?"
really? he doesn't get it? "never mind," jimin said, "i'll just unpack a bit if you don't mind."
jeongguk shook his head, "not at all. go ahead i'll work at my desk," jeongguk said and closed the door.
while jimin began to unpack, jeongguk opened a window then went to his desk and began doing his paper work.
once jimin finished unpacking he glanced over at jeongguk who was focused on his work. the prince looked different, more charming in an unusual way that jimin himself didn't understand.
jimin thought looking around wouldn't be too bad, he noticed a book shelf and decided to see what this younger prince was interested in.
fantasy, some romance, mystery, and philosophical stuff, jimin noted then saw another shelf that had his own name.
they were newspapers, they seemed to be all of the prince jimin's accomplishments. jimin was a bit taken back, it seemed that jeongguk was a fan of his. it made jimin smile a bit to know he had an admirer.
"bored?" asked a voice behind jimin. quickly jimin turned around to see jeongguk only a few inches. his eyes widened, he was so close, so handsome. wait what.
jeongguk quickly pulled away to create space, "want to visit the library? it's one of my favorite places in the castle." jeongguk asked.
jimin nodded and placed the newspaper back before following jeongguk.

"wow," jimin said in an impressed tone, "there are more books here than there are shelves.
jeongguk smiled, feeling a bit proud. jimin roamed around while jeongguk did the same. soon they were on opposite sides of a bookshelf. jimin pulled a book out and could see jeongguk's face.
the boy had found a book and was already reading. the focused looked on jeongguk's face made jimin unconsciously smile. he does look a bit handsome.
jeongguk looked up and jimin quickly placed the book back to block eye contact.
w-why did i do that? was i scared of being caught? wait. i didn't do anything wrong. i just looked at him, i didn't stare at him. i'm not embarrassed of my actions either. why am i panicky??
"find a book?" jeongguk asked as he made his way around the bookstand so they were on the same side.
"uh, y-yeah. i found one," jimin lies and reached for the book on a higher shelf. a shelf that he, of course, couldn't reach.
jeongguk smiled at jimin, who was struggling to reach the book. adorable he thought then reached for the book himself.
jimin froze when he felt someone against his back and saw a hand take the book that were at his fingertips.
jimin turned around and jeongguk was right there. again. only inches away. jimin felt something pick up speed in his chest.
"sorry you couldn't reach so i thought it would've been rude to not help you," jeongguk said then handed the book to jimin, "here you go. why don't we wash up? dinner will be ready soon.
jimin nodded and followed jeongguk, then began to think, what is happening to me.
