8 👑 princess, save the prince

everyone was at the dining table. the queen was asking jimin about his visit and his opinion about the castle.

hani meanwhile was talking to her brother, asking when jimin could play with her.

dinner was over which meant bedtime. the princes entered the room, jimin felt his heart race from the anxiety of sleeping togeher in one bed.

"im going to do some work before bed," jeongguk, "you can sleep first."

jimin nodded and climbed into the bed. he pulled out the book he had gotten from the library, romeo and juliet. of course i had to randomly pick this book. jimin thought to himself and opened to the first scene of the first act.

while jimin read jeongguk worked on some official paperwork. jeongguk glanced at jimin occasionally, it felt surreal to have jimin in his bed.

jimin fell asleep reading, jeongguk finished his work and noticed it. he smiled and went over to pick up the book and place it on the stand.

he was about to turn off the light when he looked over at jimin's face, do not fall for me, i like someone else, taehyung.

jeongguk sighed, he grabbed the other pillow from his bed and a spare blanket. then turned of the lamp.

jimin shouldn't sleep with me if he doesn't want to. he likes taehyung, he wants taehyung.

the next morning jimin felt the rays of sunshine on his face, it made him wake up first. he stretched and wake up. then he realized where he was and his eyes widened.

jimin sat and looked next to him to see an empty spot. confused, he looked around and saw jeongguk was at his desk.

jeongguk heard the movement of blankets and looked up, "good morning," he said, "sleep well?"

jimin noticed a pillow and spare blanket behind jeongguk under the window coach, "you didn't sleep in bed?" jimin asked.

jeongguk smiled shyly, "i thought you would be bothered by it, so i didn't."

jimin felt a bit guilty, "you don't have to do that—"

"you are a guest," jeongguk said, "i should do whatever is needed to make you feel more at home."

jimin was a bit surprised and touched by the younger boy words.

"you are quiet smart for your age," jimin said with a small smile.

"i have always been smart," jeongguk joked which made jimin's smile a bit bigger.

"prince jimin," asked hani after breakfast, "can you play with me?"

jeongguk looked over at jimin, as jimin smiled as he answered, "sure. where should we go?"

hani smiled, "in the garden!" she said excitedly and pulled jimin along with her as jeongguk followed with a smile.

"okay, prince jimin can sit here and pretend you are trapped.

"jeongguk you will be the bad guy," said hani.

"bad guy?" jeongguk asked, "why am i bad, huh?"

hani placed her hands on her hips, "because i am going to be the princess who saves the prince."

jeongguk smiled, "i see then," he said, "then i must not let the princess take my prince."

my prince? jimin thought. he watched jeongguk chase hani. they were both were smiling and running. it brought a smile to his face, he was seeing a different side. it was similar back in the orphanage.

jimin broke his thoughts when jeongguk came running near him, jimin screamed a bit when he was lifted, bridal style.

"you will never get the prince," jeongguk said to hani, still in playing mode.

jimin held on to jeongguk when the latter began to run. remembering he was playing jimin said to hani, "princess save me, save me."

"i'm coming my prince!" hani said and chased them around the garden.

then jeongguk placed jimin back on the ground and pretended he was shot by something which was causing him to die.

jeongguk an dramatic death which entertained jimin and excited hani as she was going to win.

soon jeongguk laid on the grass, 'dead' as hani went to over jimin, "my prince i have saved you from the mean villain," hani said proudly, "now we can live a peaceful life."

jeongguk sat up as jimin and hani were still playing. he saw jimin smiling with hani, they were getting along.

why did i pick up jimin like that? he is going to lecture me later...
