11 👑 the rival

"jeongguk?" jimin asked in the dark, "where are you?"

"here," jeongguk said, "where are you?"

jimin thought, they couldnt see each other, they had to meet somewhere. "jeongguk?"

"yes?"

"do you see the windows?"

"yes."

"head to one of them," jimin instructed, since the moon was bright there would be some light, so they could see one another. and that is was happened. they were one window from one another. jeongguk walked to jimin, "now what?"

"the kitchen is still down the hall, there i should be able to relight the candle," they began to walk when jeongguk suddenly asked, "can i hold your shirt?"

"why?" jimin asked.

"so i don't get lost. it's dark and i cant see you clearly," jeongguk explained.

jimin reached over and took jeongguk hand, "better?"

"yeah," jeongguk said and they walked down. soon they reached the kitchen. there was a light, jimin dragged jeongguk with him and relit the candle.

"so what do you want to eat?" jimin asked the taller one.

"uh jimin?" he said, "you can let me go now, i can see you better." jimin looked down to see he was still holding his hand, "ah," he said, "right."

jeongguk saw the blush on jimin's face and smiled a bit, "i think bread and jam is fine," he answered, "i dont want anything fancy."

jimin nodded and began to take out the items. "strawberry or grape jam?" asked jimin.

"strawberry, i'm allergic to grape."

jimin nodded and placed the item on the table. jeongguk thanked him and began to make a usual breakfast treat.

"want one?" jeongguk asked ripped a piece for jimin. jimin thanked him and took the piece. they ate until they were content. jeongguk helped jimin put everything away, "jimin you have something here," he pointed.

jimin wiped his cheek, "gone?"

jeongguk shook his head and wiped the jam off jimin's corner lip, "there," he said with a smile, "lets go back."

jimin nodded and quickly turned around, why is my heart racing? why does my cheeks feel warm?

the next morning jimin called jeongguk over to his room. jimin needed help writing an official letter. jeongguk sat jimin's desk and jimin informed him what he wanted to write and jeongguk listened then composed a letter. jimin watched as jeongguk worked with focus, it brought a smile to jimin's face.

"done," jeongguk said and handed jimin the letter, "perfect," jimin said as he read over the letter, "let me ask a servant for a candle."

jeongguk nodded and jimin left the younger boy in his room. jeongguk looked for an envelope at his desk, and opened a drawer which had a small cute box. the box was opened, jeongguk saw the address where it was from, daegu, which meant daegu.

jeongguk tasted bitternss in his mouth and closed the drawer, he waited for jimin to return. a few seconds later smaller one did and gave jeongguk a letter and envelope, "i brought the candle, can you place the letter in the envelope while i get the seal from one of my drawers?"

jeongguk nodded and took the letter and envelope, as he did what he was told jimin came around next to him to pull a different drawer which he took out the seal, "got it," he said and looked up to see jeongguk.

jimin never noticed there was a sparkle in jeongguk's eyes, why has he never noticed anything like that?"

there was a knock at the jeongguk and jimin turned to see a familiar face.

"taehyung," jimin said and placed the seal on the table as he rushed over to greet him, "why didn't you tell me you were coming?"

"i did," taehyung said, "in the letter i wrote you a few days ago. didnt you get it?"

jimin remembered, "oh yes, how clumsy am i," he said.

before either could speak, jeongguk said, "i'll leave you both alone," he said and left the room, closing the door behind him.

jimin wanted to stop him but jeongguk was too fast.

"is he visiting?" taehyung asked. jimin nodded.

"what was he doing at your desk?"

"oh he was helping me with a letter," jimin said and looked over at the desk to see jeongguk had already sealed the letter.

"ah," taehyung said, "i have to go home and unpack, but i'll visit you again once im settled down. i have something i want to talk to you about." jimin nodded and taehyung left.
