Damien directly went home from Brown's office. He had to calm himself or else he didn't know what he would do in anger.
The mere thought of Danny being involved in the drug business and not telling him about it infuriated him. And the fact that it infuriated him, made him even angrier. He knew that Danica wasn't a suspect but something about her relationship with William Brown did not sit right with him and Karen only added fuel to his suspicion.
He just had to find some evidence somehow. There weren't many security cameras in his office and the one's present did not show much.
How could such a big company have no surveillance or whatsoever?
And on top of it, all his employees loved their boss. There was not a single statement that was against Brown. Everybody literally worshipped their perfect boss. They didn't have a single clue as to what their boss had up his sleeve.
Brown had planned it well, Damien thought.
Damien took a shower and got ready to leave again when his mother stopped him, "Damien!" She exclaimed, surprised. She didn't know her son was home at all, "Why are you leaving? And when did you come home?"
"Hey, Ma. I came an hour ago. I have to leave. There's a new case and it's messed up." He replied as he gave her a hug.
"Did you just say an hour ago, Damien?" She exasperated with a huff,
"Did you sleep at all? And did you eat anything? Wait here. I'll make you a sandwich." She said as she was already halfway to the kitchen.Damien sighed at her. He didn't defy her. He was too exhausted to argue with his mother. Also, his mother made some delicious sandwiches so he didn't complain and waited patiently for her to bring him the sandwiches.
Ten minutes later, his mother strolled towards him with a paper bag in her hand and handed it to him,
"There's enough for the whole day. So I expect you to eat." She warned him.
He merely nodded and gave her a kiss on the cheek and was out of the door like a light. He climbed into his car and opened the paper bag to take one of the sandwiches. He devoured it while he drove towards the Precinct and soon enough, he reached.
He went inside and all the officers stood up to salute him and he nodded in return. He reached one of the officers,
"Where is Paul? Did he enquire everyone at Bro.." His eyes suddenly fell on the woman who had her head down on the table and he scrunched his brows in confusion, "What is she still doing here?" He asked the officer.
"She didn't have anywhere to go, sir. I was about to go tell her that she wasn't supposed to stay here but she was asleep by then, so we didn't wake her." The officer explained with a little guilt as he looked at Danny.
"This isn't a charity home, James. It's a police station." Damien informed him in a sharp tone.
"I'm sorry, sir."
"Go find Paul and tell him I need him here as soon as possible." He instructed and stalked towards a sleeping Danny.
Damien was a little relieved that she was still there. He wanted answers immediately and he didn't want to invest his time in finding and asking Danny to come again for investigation.
* * * * *
Danny was startled out of her sleep with a loud bang.
She squinted her eyes to adjust to the light and they went wide when she saw Damien marching towards her.
He looked fresh and his hair was a little damp as if he had just gotten out of the shower. But what scared Danny was the look on his face. He looked pissed and stared at her accusingly.
