Both, Damien and Danny were in the car as they drove towards New Jersey. It had been around 20 minutes since they started their journey and it was very quiet around them. It wasn't an uneasy or awkward silence but it was peaceful. Danny was lost in her own thoughts as she looked out of the window at the beautiful morning sky filled with specks of golden sunlight peeking through.

On the other hand, Damien's mind was in a rush. He couldn't quite understand as to why Danny instantly agreed to go with him to Jersey. He was incredibly sure that she would put up a fight or even argue with him. But none of that happened.

*Last night*

Damien was in his room pacing around as he decided how to talk to Danny. He didn't know how to approach her and tell her that they had to leave for New Jersey the next day. He knew for a fact that she would put up a fight and argue with him till he would lose control.

Stubborn woman.

He knew that she would ask to stay at home since their parents were back from vacation but he didn't want to take a chance. He didn't want to leave her alone or get her away from him. So he prepared himself for a fight as he walked towards her room. Just then Danny walked out of her room and looked at Damien in surprise.

"Were you coming to meet me?" She asked him quizzically.

"Yes. I was uh going to come to you to tell you that we have to go to Jersey tomorrow." He informed her and waited for her fit.

She frowned at him and opened her mouth to say something but closed it instantly, "We're going to New Jersey?" She asked after a while. Damien just nodded and waited for her refusal.

Danny fell into deep thought and finally said, "Okay. I'll pack now. How many days do we stay there?" She asked him.

Say what?

Damien gaped at her as if she had grown two heads. He couldn't believe his ears. He stared at her face for a good few minutes and Danny looked at him in confusion.

"Um, hello?" She waved her hand in front of his face which made him shook his head.

"Okay. We leave tomorrow morning." He notified her and she nodded her head and walked past him down the stairs.

He wanted to ask her why she agreed instantly but refrained from doing so.

*back to the car*

"Hey, how long till we reach?" Danny broke the silence and looked at Damien.

He glanced at her, "An hour maybe." He answered her.

She sighed and reached to turn on the music. But Damien turned it off immediately as he said, "No music in my car."

"But why?"

He just shook his head leaving no room for argument. Danny huffed and moved away from him towards the window.

Danny was starting to get bored and she stole a glance at Damien. He looked like he was in serious thought as he stared ahead at the road. She hesitantly reached for the stereo to turn on the music.

Damien's hand swatted hers away and narrowed his eyes at her as he shook his head at her.

"I'm bored, Damien!" She whined as she folded her legs.

"And?" Damien asked in a bored tone.

"You're the most boring person to drive with." She huffed at him and he rolled his eyes.

"I'm not."

"You didn't even let me turn on the music." She deadpanned and gave him a dead look.
