Gary hurried towards his boss's room. He was freaked out.
He had killed Will, his old friend. He never thought he could do it. But he had no choice. It had to be done or else he would have been dead meat in the hands of his boss.
He cursed Will for betraying them.
He had killed William according to his boss's will but he was scared about what he would say when he would get to know about the woman that worked for William.Gary wondered if the woman knew about their business. If she had delivered the packages, she must know about it. But the way William was so protective towards her indicated otherwise.
Maybe she doesn't know.
Or does she?
He just hoped he wouldn't have to get his hands in blood again.
"Gary!" One of his boss's man greeted with a pat on his shoulder.
"Is he in?" Gary asked in a tensed tone.
"Yes. He's in his room. He's upset about William." The man informed him.
That only made Gary sweat a little more. Droplets of sweat twinkled on his forehead as he headed towards the room. His hands shook a bit when he knocked. He waited impatiently as he wiped the sweat on his forehead. He heard his boss grunt and opened the door slowly.
His boss was facing the wall in his chair rocking back and forth slowly. Gary cleared his throat awkwardly.
His boss turned around to face him with a murderous expression on his face. Gary gulped in fear. That was his usual face but today, it looked extra dangerous.
Damn. I'm toast.
"Well?" He asked gruffly.
"William is dead. I brought all of the packages from his place and transferred them to the warehouse."
"Good. Have you made sure that he's dead?"
"Yes. He was dead when I stabbed him. And I sent a man to the hospital too, just to make sure." He wiped the sweat off his forehead discretely.
"Great! One less man to kill then!" The boss replied jovially with a laugh.
Gary just stared at his maniac boss. Of course, he was happy. Gary was the one to make the kill. This affected Gary, not his boss.
"But boss...um there..." Gary stuttered to speak.
He was terrified to tell him about Danny. Gary knew that he would be more than furious if he knew that a woman from outside might know about their business.
"There is a woman." He told him with a strong voice.
"What woman? What are you talking about?"
"There is this woman. William used her to deliver the packages. She gave the last package to me."
"And?" The boss enquired looking at Gary with scrutinizing eyes.
"She lived with William. Now that he's dead, the police might question her abo-"
"There is a woman who knows about us and you decide to tell me this now?" His boss shouted and stood up from his chair in an instant.
His boss had a lethal look on his face. He looked ready to murder anyone at the moment.
"No sir!" Gary was quick enough,
"I don't think she knows about us.""How do you know she doesn't know?" He questioned Gary but he had no answer. He wasn't sure if William told her about their cartel or not.
