Damien couldn't blink away his eyes from the sight in front of him. He just stood near the door with wide eyes as Danny danced away with all the drunk guys around her. Her tight black dress was ridden up a little and her hair danced on the faces of the drunk guys that held her close to them. Danny seemed to be having the time of her life as she stupidly and sexily danced with guys around her, too close for Damien's liking.
As one of the guys snaked his arms around Danny and pulled her even closer, Damien couldn't control his anger anymore. He clenched his fists and stormed over to the dance floor and yanked her out of his arms. By the sudden movement, Danny seemed alarmed as she looked at him with wide eyes. When she realized that it was Damien, she gave him a sheepish smile and went back to her dancing. The guys around Danny noticed Damien's furious face and started to back away from her.
"Hey! Come back! Let's dance!" She yelled to the guys that turned their backs and walked away.
Damien took this as an opportunity and dragged her out from the dance floor. Danny struggled to get herself out from his grip but to no avail, his hold was like an iron grip. She grunted in his ears all the way as he dragged her out of the pub.
"Shut the fuck up!" He shouted at her once they were out and in the quiet, "What do you think you're doing dancing with all those drunk guys when I specifically told you to stay in your room."
"Why the hell do you care?" She yelled back at him as she got out of his grip, "I don't care if you don't care! Go to your stupid meeting!" She started to walk away from him but Damien was quick enough to grab her back.
"You are not going anywhere." He told her dangerously low voice and she chuckled at him.
"You're scary when you're not trying to be scary." She slurred and chuckled as she pinched his cheeks. Damien stood back in surprise.
What the hell?
"Toodeloo!" She waved at him and tried to walk away again but he grabbed her back yet again and Danny looked at him with irritation evident on her face, "Leave me. Go to your meeting. All you have done since morning is ignore me. So do that for the rest of the night." She seethed at him and yanked her arms out of his grip and sauntered away.
This time he let her go.
He didn't think his ignorance was so noticeable. He didn't do it on purpose but in anger from the lunch. But he didn't know that it would hurt her feelings as they did.
"Dammit." He cursed under his breath and followed her inside. He didn't seem to have much of a choice than to watch her closely, now that she was pissed at him. He didn't want to cause a scene, so he stood near the dance floor and watched her shake her body to the beat.
After a while, a guy approached Danny and she started to dance with him closely. Annoyance seeped into Damien and he went to the dance floor and pushed the guy away.
"What the hell is your problem? Let me dance!" She shouted at him.
"You cannot dance with drunk, stranger guys." He instructed her loudly over the music.
"Really now? Then who should I dance with? You?" She slurred out and raised her eyebrows at him.
Damien shook his head, "Not happening. I'm not dancing with you." He told her sternly.
"Right. Don't then. Go dance with Anabelle or whatever her name was." She suggested as she referred to the woman from lunch.
"Her name is Armelle." He corrected.
"And I don't care." She looked to the ground and played with the hem of her dress.
"Are you actually jealous, Danica?" He taunted her with a smirk and lowered his face to her height to look at her face clearly.
