Chapter 18

Jisung was excitedly showing and explaining his adorable doodle to Chan's business partner. It was apparently a logo design for the coffee bean package.

The said business partner was a friendly old man around fifties. He also has worked together with Chan for more than two years now.

Back then, his lover only opened a small yet sophisticated bakery since it was his expertise, until he met his high school old friend, Changbin.

Changbin was a certified barista at that time and still did not know how and where to start a business. So, when Chan offered him to work together, he agreed immediately. Then, through Changbin, he knew Mr. Park who run a business in selling coffee beans.

Since the café was located near tourist attraction, many of the visitors have asked Chan or the other employees if they had any coffee bean packages or other souvenirs to offer. It was saddening when Chan said they did not have it.

That was why the other day, Chan talked about new business opportunity to Mr. Park by offering him to sell the coffee beans in a small up to large package.

The coffee beans were packed inside a light brown paper bag with a black coffee bean icon placed in the middle of it. Jisung cringed at the simplicity, regretting why he did not barge in when his lover and Mr. Park had a meeting that day.

Bringing back to the present, Mr. Park nodded his head once in a while as he keenly listened to the younger's explanation.

The logo design showed two animals that represented the café founders and a farmer in the middle of them that symbolized its business partner, gathering inside a coffee mug.

Many famous coffee shop had a simple logo, but this one was surely adorable and both Mr. Park and Chan found it unique and endearing.

"So, the coffee mug symbolizes the reason why we work together, then this pig with weird ear is Changbin and the wolf is Chan, and the farmer is me, right?"

"Correct!"

"Where are you, then?"

"Why does it matter? I wasn't there to begin with." He responded nonchalantly.

"I've told him several times to include himself, but he's so stubborn." Chan stated and Jisung playfully glared at him.

"But you're the designer, and you proposed the idea, so you better be there or I won't approve it."

Jisung whined. "But it'll ruin the balance."

"So that's the real reason?" Chan laughed. "Just draw yourself on top of my head then."

"Or on my shoulder. That works too, I guess"

Humming at the feedback, Jisung returned to his work and made several options for them to choose later.
