courtney's pov -

After we talked, Shayne just held me for a few minutes. Exactly what I wanted. I just needed him to stay here, and to just hold me. Tell me it's going to be okay.

We parted just as the studio door opened from down the hall. Ian popped out and slowly came over to us.

"Hey guys." He started, his eyes dancing back and forth between Shayne and I. "I'm not sure what's happening, but we're going to move shooting to tomorrow."

Monica appeared behind him, talking with Ryan Todd.

"Yeah the B camera stopped working." She said and rolled her eyes. "Of course it would."

"So we're going to do two truths one lie and then call it a day." Ryan said as he glanced back behind him at the studio door. "The others should be coming out here soon."

"Okay that's fine" I said and looked back at Monica. "Who is doing it today?"

Monica took a few paces toward the blue couch on the wall and sat her notebook down as she leafed through it to find today's schedule.

"Uhhh" She furrowed her eyebrows as she searches her notes.

"Olivia?" Ryan said behind her as he looked away from his conversation from Ian. I smiled, always listening.

"Yes!" She nodded. "Olivia, you, and I think Noah." She ran her pointed her finger to a specific group of words.

"Three of them?" Shayne said as he walked toward us. A distinctly pitiful emotion ran across his face. That threw me. Do you know something?

"Yeah we're trying something new." Monica smiled weakly up at me before catching a glimpse of Olivia, Keith, Damien, and Noah who had just come out of the studio. "Okay I need Olivia, Noah, and Courtney in makeup now!" She announced and headed over to let Ian know the plan.

I ran my hand over my forehead and faced Shayne.

"Something is up dude. We don't do makeup like this for two truths."

"Monica did say they're trying something different." Shayne tried to reason with me. I nodded.

"It just seems strange." I shrugged. I saw Monica wave me on from behind Shayne. "Alright I'll see you in there I guess." I placed a hand on his shoulder as I walked passed him and toward the makeup room.

Olivia shot me a strange glance as we sat in the makeup chairs with Noah on the other side of the room.

"We're doing makeup for this?" I asked her.

"I think it's weird too." She said as she closed her eyes to let her stylist apply her mascara.

"Do you think something is up?"

"I think it just could be Monica being Monica" Noah chimed in from his chair. "She likes to shake things up sometimes."

"That's true." I said as I turned to look at myself in the mirror. Heavy makeup.

I almost the blink of an eye, us three were escorted out of the makeup room. I held close to Olivia as we approached the studio again.

"Over here" Our set director told us. She walked in front of us and led us farther down the hall, away from the two truths one lie set.

"What?" Noah asked. I turned and met his nervous gaze.

"What are we doing?" Olivia asked and held my arm tighter.

"Noah?" The set director called out to us. She stopped Olivia and I, and stepped to the side of a dark blue door. She motioned for Noah to go inside.

"See you on the other side." He said, giving us both a remorseful look before opening the door and shutting it behind him.

I couldn't see into the room he went into, but my stomach dropped as we got to Olivia's room. It all made sense now. I watched her walk inside, leaving only myself and the set director in the hallway. We're doing a drug awareness video. These videos are so important, but for us, for me, they're incredibly emotionally taxing. My actresses have always known what to say to make me cry and to make sure they really leave an impact. Fuck.

We came to my room, a dark brown door, and she motioned for me to go inside. I caught a glimpse of Shayne and Ian standing on the end of the hall, watching me as I hesitated to open the door. I saw Shayne faintly nod. A go-ahead. All I want is you.

I took a breath, opened the door, and stepped into my first apartment.

i just recently watched the drug awareness videos, and the squad's reactions are all so emotional. These videos are so important, so I focused on the emotions it draws out.
