shayne's pov -
Courtney and I made it to the office ten minutes before eleven. Red from her strawberry pancakes still on her lips. I joked about it being a stark difference from her black mesh leggings and grey crop top. She laughed, stumbling slightly as we walked into Smosh's main room.
Sarah buzzed past us. Notebook in hand.
"Hey guys, meeting with Ian in his office in fifteen. He says he has some big news." She smiled.
"Oh great. We'll float over." Courtney said, taking a seat on the couch closest to her.
Sarah walked toward the challenge room, talking to whoever was inside.
"What are we even filming today?" I asked Courtney, leaning on the armrest of the couch at her feet as she flopped down to sprawl out.
"Eat It Or Yeet It for sure. Probably what they're getting ready for." She pointed at the room Sarah walked into. "But outside of that, I don't know."
"No, I'm just dumb. You literally told me to bring extra clothes for the Eat It Or Yeet It." I paused. "Maybe Ian will say something about it."
"Yeah, what was that about?" Courtney asked, picking up her head slightly to look at me. I shrugged.
"Not sure. We'll find out soon enough." I said. Looking around the room, people started to filter in for the day. Sitting at their desks, opening up offices, standing around and talking.
"On brand." Brennan laughed as he passed us on the couch. Pointing at Courtney. She was now splayed out on the couch. One leg up along the back of the couch, and the other falling to the ground. Her arms above her head and bending over the armrest. I laughed and looked at him. Secretly hoping he'd pull out his Nikon and take a picture of her. Sheerly for selfish purposes.

"Alright! Noah, stop complaining and just sit in the chair. This won't be long anyway." Ian said as he stood in front of the gathered cast and crew members.
Noah whined for a second before taking a reluctant seat in the broken, orange plastic chair in the back of the office.
"Okay. Let's get to it." Ian mumbled as he flipped through some notes on his clipboard. I glanced at Courtney, she was giggling, leaning into Olivia. Both of their eyes squinted with laughter. I grinned to myself. Their smiles contagious.
"First off, happy August." He said. Earning a cheer from Matt Raub in the back. "The past two months we've put out about thirty videos. All of which raked in over seven hundred thousand views!" Another cheer from Matt Raub.
"That's how it's done." Keith howled. Cupping his hands over his mouth. Receiving some shouts of affirmation from various people.
"That being said," Ian started again. "We've been putting out so much content lately, props to everyone, and I think it's best we take a break. So before anyone panics," He held his hands up near his shoulders and smiled. "I'm giving everyone next week off. Take some time for yourselves, do what you gotta do, recuperate from the last few months here." His voice ended higher, like his thought wasn't done. I followed his eyes over to Sarah.
"Because when we get back," She said from the front of the room, "We're doing a special Show With No Name series." She gave some jazz hands.
Excited murmurs filled the room.
"We're going to bring it back just for about a week. And each and every one of you is going to be in at least one episode." Sarah said.
"That's so cool!" Olivia squealed.
"For real, that sounds really fun." Tommy agreed.
"So you all have that to look forward too." Ian grinned.
"I'm just excited to roast Noah and Keith again." I said. Hands behind my head as I made eye contact with both of them.
Keith burst out laughing.
"Well, we're going to have questions submitted by fans. Like we used to." Sarah reminded us.
"That definitely won't stop a roast." Noah joked. Smiling at her. She rolled her eyes.
"Okay, we can plan this all later, I just wanted you all to know that next week off has already been approved. We have plenty of pre-filmed content to put out. We'll probably post videos for three or four of the days." Ian shrugged, quickly glancing at Monica. "So after today is done, the world is your oyster." He laughed at his own corny joke.
"Love you, Ian!" Courtney shouted as she stood up, others following suit. Hands folding into a heart on her chest. Ian doing the same back to her. Making her giggle.
We all filtered out of the office, talking about our newfound free time.
I caught Courtney just before she reached the makeup room to get prepped for Eat It Or Yeet It.
"I have an idea." I said. Giddiness weaving in my voice.
"That's cool. Good for you." She shoved my shoulder with a smile.
"Psycho." I laughed. "Really though, for our time off. I think we should go somewhere."
"Last time you said that you bought a fucking house." She said. Cocking her head, letting her joke hang.
I laughed. Acknowledging the truth.
"Maybe like San Francisco." I shrugged. "Somewhere to just escape to for the week."
Her emerald eyes sparkled. She looked down and sighed, twisting her converse into the floor.
"Alright, Shayne." She looked back up at me. A grin plastered on her face. "Why the hell not?"
