CHAPTER 35
J.S. Bach – Toccata and Fugue in D minor

//

Hoseok asked me about change today. he seemed to be lost in thought as he wandered about his friends.

two people with a doomed friendship and a taste for revenge.

it intrigued me that he knew such people. i've only heard about such people in fiction elements of life. "do you think change in people is possible?" he questioned as we sat on the floor of his studio, hearts in sync.

"definitely," i replied. "people make mistakes far back in their past." there's always room for improvement. the past is frozen in time.

i felt passionate about the topic since my father had shown a massive change. "people change everyday like... the you you were yesterday isn't the you today."

"that's confusing." he laughed.

i laughed too. "the version of you that existed yesterday, isn't the you today, is it?" i repeated in a slow manner. "i know we don't physically see the change but change happens when we're not looking or paying attention."

Hoseok nodded along. "you're absolutely right. change in that way is pleasant."

Hoseok clasped his hands around his knees, rings shining under the spotlights. "my friends made some bad decisions that costed them love and friendships." he explained, staring ahead as i watched the side of his face.

"now they're both miserable."

i tried to see it from another perspective. "of course because they've changed and due to that change... they've realised their wrongs."

i leaned my head on his shoulder as he smiled, taking my hand in his. he pressed a fluttering kiss to both my hand and heart. i thought about my father, change is possible and i never would've expected it from him. "when did you get so wise?" Hoseok hummed.

"always have been."

"i have so much to learn from you."

i kissed him. "i hope they find themselves at peace." i thought about his friends that i never knew. who are they?

"me too."

i squeezed his hand. "i've learnt a lot from you too." i started, feeling his brown eyes on me. "you've taught me how to love, how to fight without violence."
