i struggled during the process.
i now know why women are the superior species, there are many reasons but childbirth and being able to do something... that strong, is a fierce thing.
as we, me and Hoseok held our daughter for the first time. the doctor gave us time before telling us what's happened.
"septal defects-" but i wasn't listening. i couldn't process it because i didn't want such a glorious day to be ruined.
"now, this is where there's a hole between two of the heart's chambers. it is commonly referred to as a "hole in the heart"." Hoseok eagerly looked for my eyes to look back at him but i couldn't. tears kept falling and the numbness i felt made things worse.
"in most children, the cause isn't known. it's a very common type of heart defect. if the ventricular septal defect (VSD) is small, or if the VSD has been closed with surgery, your child may not need any special precautions regarding physical activity and can participate in normal activities without increased risk." and i looked at Hoseok.
