"(Bakit dinadamay mo si Yngrid?)" He asked over the phone.
"Who's Yngrid?" I asked back.
"(Really Paul? Sarili mong sekretarya hindi mo kilala? Ayusin mo nga sarili mo!)"
My mouth formed an "o" when I already knew that Yngrid and Lizandra is one. Well, you can't blame me, I used to call her Lizandra or Liza.
"Ohhh. Ok. So.. what do you mean dinadamay?"
"(Pre bakit kailangan mo siyang isama sa Bukidnon? Pinaniwala mo pa siya na business ang sadya niyo roon.)" He said. I can't see his face right now but I'm sure that he's really angry right now at me.
"It's all business matters Santi." Tanging sagot ko sa kanya.
Pati ako sa sarili ko ay walang makuhang sagot kung bakit isasama ko si Lizandra sa Bukidnon, I know it can affect her, may posibilidad na madamay siya. And how funny it is when I told her way back then that don't interfere with someone businesses if you're not really involve with it. Di niya magugustuhan kapag nadamay siya. But here I am, inviting her eventhough she's not part of it to come with me to Bukidnon to pull out some evidences from those bastards who tries to destroy my company.
And I'm fucking ready.
"(Hoy Paul Eudoxus!)" Sigaw ng nasa kabilang linya.
"Fuck you! Don't shout at me!"
"(You're not listening dude, you just keep on sighing there. And no. I don't swing that way.)" He said habang tumatawa.
"(But back to what I've said, kahit sabihin mong business matters lang eh hindi ka pa rin kapani-paniwala, baka nakakalimutan mong hindi ka nagsasama ng sekretarya sa tuwing may business trip ka. Dahil ang numero unong dahilan mo ay masyado silang.. what do you call that term?.. oh! 'maharot' so why Lizandra dude?)" Mahabang sabi niya.
"Iba si Lizandra Santi.. hindi siya maharot. Maingay oo." Kalmadong sabi ko.
"(Tss dude alam mo naman sigurong pinopormahan ko si Yngrid diba? Kung hindi mo lang siya isinama sa Bukidnon kagaguhan mo eh baka nag-date na kami 'nun bukas na bukas." Sabi niya gamit ang mababang tono.
Oo nga naman.. sa katunayan ay wala akong balak na isama si Liza sa Bukidnon, ngunit nang malaman kong nagkakamabutihan ang dalawa nung isang araw at may pa dinner date pang nalalaman ay agad akong naalerto at humanap ng paraan na magkalayo sila.
Actually, I never been this strict to my workers, even to my former secretaries, I just let them go look for someone that can scratch their itch. And I really don't care. I felt uncomfortable and irritated when they are inside of my office. But Lizandra is different, really different.
I think this is what they called "boss's possessiveness"
