It was a normal day for you, you did your usual routine, wake up, shower, greet your parents, make yourself breakfast, get ready for school, come home, and repeat. You never missed a day of school, nor have you ever skipped, you were a goodie-two-shoes in sense. However, you wanted to absorb as much information as you could. After the accident, you were in when you younger, you want to try and have every last detail of your high school experience, and you want to make sure that you could have a comfortable life wherever you went in life.
You were on your way home, from school deciding to stop by a gas station to grab a few things for yourself. Only to realize you didn't have your money, "Ah, I'm sorry I can't pay for this you can go." You gestured to the young boy behind you, "I'll pay for your stuff." He said suddenly said, he looked familiar, almost as if you had known him before, "No, no I couldn't do that I wouldn't be able to pay you back." However, he still took the items you were going to purchase and bought them for you. "Think of it, as a gift of gratitude." He said, "My name's Chan." He said as he was putting your items in a separate bag than his own, "I'm Y/n." You said taking the bag, "Ah thank you, Chan, you didn't need to buy these for me though." You said, "I'll pay you back someday I promise." You said to him, you felt guilty enough for him buying your stuff, "It's alright, you don't need to we're friends now." Friends. That word struck you more than it should, and you were in awe with it. You had only met Chan a few moments ago, however, you felt as if you could trust him. "Well I have to go now Y/n it was please meeting you, I hope to see you around." He said, "Bye Chan." is all you managed to get out before heading the opposite direction he was going.
You mentally scolded yourself, for not giving him your number, however, that slowly starts to go away as you realize your mother's home. Her car was in drive way as you were approaching your house, you were a little nervous to say the least. Your mother was never home before you, and if she was, it was either she was just leaving to go to another meeting, or she was late to work. Hesitantly you opened the door to your house, in hopes of finding out what on earth even happened. As you opened the door, you were met with the sound of your mother sobbing. Your heart sank, as you went to find her, only to see she's in the bathroom sobbing, you dropped your bags, all memories of the man you just met. "Mom?" You asked, "Is everything okay, what's going on?" You asked kneeling beside her, "Y-your father died." She bursted out, "He was in a horrible car crash and they couldn't save him." She said.
Oh how you wished you were able to turn back to that morning, and to give him a tighter hug. He was your father after all, you knew your father would disapprove of you're crying, he told you it made someone weak. However, how did the car crash happen? What happened to the simplest form of the news, there was nothing about his death, no one was talking about it. If he had died wouldn't everyone be talking about it? You were in shock, you needed closure on what happened to your father, however, you also knew your mother wouldn't lie about this sort of thing. Although, you understood the seriousness you started getting a bad headache.
"Mom, I think I need to lay down I feel sick." Is all you were able to say before you passed out on the bathroom floor. Though, you don't remember why or what happened. You woke up in the same position, on the bathroom floor. Your mother hadn't thought moving you was a good idea, as you stood up you realized, you fainted out of shock. After finding out about your father's passing, you didn't know how to react to it. You got up, and washed up everything and decided to head to your room, you knew it wasn't your fault, or your mother's however, you couldn't help but feel sceptical about your mother, she seemed fine, however, it could be her way of coping.
Oh, how you wished that was the truth.
