Chapter 19
My heart was beating so fast when I went out of the room we rented. Naiwan sa loob sina Clarisse at Lio na maingay na nagkakantahan.
Panay ang pagbuga ko ng hangin habang papalapit ako sa may entrance ng KTV. Just the mere thought of seeing him tonight after so many days of busy days and not seeing him, excites me. Kinakabahan ako na nae-excite.
I was a few meters away from the entrance door when I saw him standing outside. Napahinto ako sa paglalakad and spent a few moments looking at him. He's just wearing a simple navy-blue shirt and jeans, but how can he look so attractive?
Hindi ko namalayang sumilay na pala ang isang ngiti sa labi ko. Buti na lang ay hindi pa niya ako nakikita because his attention was on his phone. I hurriedly wiped off the smile on my face and continued walking to approach him.
Nang nasa harapan na niya ako ay agad siyang nag-angat ng tingin saka mabilis na itinago ang cellphone sa back pocket ng jeans niya. He smiled at me. The usual smile he does whenever he sees me. O baka assuming lang ako.
"Hi," he greeted with a huge smile on his face. Umayos siya ng tayo kaya halos nakatingala na ako sa kanya.
"Hi," I greeted back. "Bakit ka nandito?" I asked softly. Nakita kong namula ang tenga niya as he scratched the back of his head.
"Uhh..." Nahihiya siyang ngumiti. "I... I just want to see you."
"Oh..."
Hindi ko alam kung anong isasagot sa sinabi niya. God, my mind suddenly went blank.
"Did you drink?" He asked. Mabilis akong umiling.
"No, no. Sina Clarisse at Lio lang. Ako kasi ang magda-drive eh," I quickly replied. Tumango-tango naman siya while looking at the floor.
He looks so cute. Parang gusto kong matawa.
Nagpipigil ako ng tawa when he suddenly looked up.
"Uhh... Sige, I just really dropped by to... see you," he murmured. And God, why is he so adorable?
"Clarisse and Lio are still inside. Gusto mo pumasok?"
I don't know if it's a good idea. I feel bad if I'll just let him go. Mukhang ang layo pa naman ng pinanggalingan niya. And, I also want to spend more time with him. It's not that bad to ask him, right?
"Is it okay?" He asked. I smiled at him.
"I think Clarisse and Lio won't mind," I replied.
And I don't mind at all. I'll be happy if you'll agree.
Ugh, Hope! Malandi ka.
I gestured him to follow me. Narinig ko naman ang pagsunod niya sa akin. I smiled to myself.
"Are they drunk?" I heard him asked, referring to Clarisse and Lio. Inalala ko ang mga mukha ng dalawa 'nong lumabas ako ng room namin.
Clarisse was singing her heart out while Lio was holding a bottle and singing along with her. Natawa ako. They looked crazy.
"Nakainom pero hindi pa naman ganoon kalala," I answered. I heard him chuckle.
"You do this every time?" He queried.
"Not really. Kapag stressed na stressed lang. Iba-iba 'yong ginagawa namin eh. Depende sa level ng stress na nararamdaman namin," I answered.
It's true. Minsan we do hiking, beach, travel, or just watch movies together. Kapag ibang level na ang stressed, sa inuman talaga ang bagsak.
