Chapter 27
"Hi," Troy greeted smilingly. Medyo weird pa ring tawagin siyang Troy without the Sir. But I like it, and I know I'll get used to it.
I went to school early and when I reached the classroom, he was already there, sitting on the teacher's table in front. There was no one other than us.
"Hi," I replied. Sa pinalikod pa rin ako umupo.
"Ang layo mo naman," he mumbled. Natawa na lang ako habang inilalabas ang phone ko. Ilang beses kasi 'yong nag-vibrate when I was still in the car on the way here. Hindi ko ma-check because I was focusing on driving.
Nagulat na lang ako, after I got my phone, Troy's already sitting on the chair beside mine.
"Go back there. Baka may biglang dumating," I said to him.
He looked at both the doors. "Wala pa naman."
When he turned to me again, he smiled sweetly.
"I missed you," he mumbled. I pursed my lips to prevent myself from smiling so wide. Kainis siya eh. Ang aga-agang magpakilig.
"Kakakita lang natin last night," I replied.
"So?"
"Ang bilis mo naman maka-miss."
"I don't know. I'm not usually like this. Maybe because I just want to see you all the time and not being able to... kind of sucks."
Shocks. Why is he like this? May plano ata siyang pasabugin 'yong puso ko.
He then looked at his wrist watch and then to the doors. Wala pa namang dumadating.
"I'll go back in front," he said. I thought he's going straight there. But after standing up, he suddenly leaned on me and kissed my forehead quickly. I wasn't able to move.
Parang umakyat ata lahat ng dugo ko sa mukha ko dahil sa ginawa niya.
God, I think my heart's gonna explode!
Wala na akong nagawa because he quickly got back to his place. And he's even smiling widely!
Saktong pag-upo niya sa harap ay ang pagdating ng ilang kaklase ko.
"Okay ka lang?" Lio asked when he saw me. He sat next to me. Himala nga kasi hindi siya late ngayon.
"I'm okay," I said. I just looked away.
"Pulang-pula ka. Akala ko na-allergy ka na naman," he murmured. I just shook my head and focused on checking my phone. Mukhang hindi pa naman magsisimula ang klase. Marami pang wala.
"Ay kainis naunahan ako ngayon," I heard Clarisse said. Sa tabi na siya ni Lio naupo. "Himala maaga ka ngayon."
"Ganoon talaga. Minsan ang buhay ay weather-weather lang," Lio replied. I laughed at what he said. Medyo napalakas pa nga ata 'yon because some of my classmates turned to look at me. I had to say sorry.
And then my phone vibrated. It was Troy.
I really love hearing your laugh.
I quickly looked at him in front and saw him smiling at his phone. I felt my face turning hot again.
"Sure kang okay ka lang?" Tanong ulit ni Lio.
"I'm fine," I said as I bowed my head.

"So I'll be hearing you sing tomorrow?" Troy asked over the phone. Hindi na kami nakapag-usap kanina so we just settled with a phone call. We're supposed to have dinner together but his colleagues suddenly asked for a team dinner kaya hindi na lang kami tumuloy. He was actually insisting of not going there to have dinner with me but I pushed him to go.
