Elias
I sat down breathing heavily staring at the four foot wall made out of bricks me, Remington, and Blake were assigned to build. We had been working on it for a couple hours now and I was exhausted. I had taken off my shirt and set it aside awhile ago, I was covered in sweat, I was all sticky. All while Corban was probably inside a nice cool tent or house sleeping somewhere. He better be grateful we're doing all this for him, sure I'm sure having a concussion sucks ass but so does doing three days worth of unpaid physical leader.
"Uh Blake what are you doing..?" I asked as I watched Blake pull off her shirt.
"What?" She asked, "You took your shirt off."
"Yeah but... you're a girl..." I muttered.
"Oh no I'm so scared. What is looking at my sports bra going to kill you or something? At least I'm still covering like seventy-five percent of my chest, you're just sitting out here with your nipples out with that pathetic patch of chest hair." Blake retorted.
My face turned red as I crossed my arms in front of my chest, "Don't make fun of my chest hair."
Remington snickered.
"Don't laugh!" I exclaimed.
"I mean, she's got a point." Remington said as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. His sleeves were rolled up and the top part of his shirt was unbuttoned down to the middle of his biceps.
"Says the guy who has a fucking forest on his chest." I jokingly snapped back.
"It is not a forest. It's the average amount, I'm sorry your lack of testosterone in your system prevents you from having that realization." Remington replied confidently.
Blake snickered as I frowned at Remington who was glancing over at Blake and smiling at her.
"Blake it's okay you don't have to patronize him." I muttered in an irritated tone, "I know Remington has to grasp at every straw he has, ya know with the whole being short thing he has going on."
"Elias just because I am shorter than you does not mean I'm short in general." Remington said in a firm more serious tone, "I'm average height."
"Yeah okay." I said as I rolled my eyes.
"I am!"
"How y'all are you?" Blake asked.
"I'm five-eleven." Remington said.
"BULLSHIT!" I exclaimed.
"I AM!"
"There is no way you're only two inches shorter than me. There's no fucking way!" I said in a chuckle.
"What's going on?"
I jumped at the sound of Vincent's voice, the other twin who ran the gang in the ravine. He walked towards us with a stern look on his face.
"What's going on? Why aren't you working?" Vincent asked.
"Sorry we were just taking a break, it's hot as shit out here." I grumbled as I stood up.
"Do not speak to me with attitude boy." Vincent ordered, "Me and my brother are putting our entire establishment in danger so you and your little friends can stay here for a few nights. You should still be thanking us if you knew the extent of how much danger you have put onto us. We never had to agree to this and we can always kick you out the second we feel like it so I suggest you keep working and you keep your mouth shut. Do I make myself clear?"
I rolled my eyes and sighed, "Yes."
Suddenly Vincent whipped his leg out and kicked me right on the side of my knee causing me to fall onto the hard gravel and grass mixed ground.
