When going to bed we all ended up having to sleep on the hard floor of the house. Not even Elias was able to sleep in the bed out of fear that he'd accidentally knock the baby off. I wasn't able to fall asleep on the floor.

I sat up in the middle of the night, the others were all asleep. Warren was the only one who had fallen asleep sitting up with his head and arms resting on the bed. At first I cringed knowing how screwed his back would be in the morning until I saw that the baby hand his hand clutched onto one of his fingers. It was actually really cute and it made me smile. I wish there was a way for the baby to know how much this random stranger did to help him. It's a shame that Warren is going to be leaving the second he gets. I think him and Cleveland are the first genuinely nice people I've come across. It's part of the reason why I haven't left to go about my life. I like this group, plus I don't really feel like getting tracked down for not successfully killing my target. I knew I shouldn't have taken on such an important person like that all alone.

I sat there for a moment upset that I was feeling so restless in the middle of the night. I could say it's the floor but I've managed to fall asleep in even more uncomfortable places.

Suddenly it hit me.

Where the hell is Remington? I haven't seen him since we got here. I stood up and stepped over Corban who was sleeping right in front of the door. I opened and closed it as quietly as possible and sighed as I stepped out. The fresh air felt good instead of being inside that stuffy room. I cracked my back and started walking.

Remington was a very sketchy dude. I don't really know how much I wanna stick around after Cleveland and Warren leave. Sure Corban and Reece are nice, Elias maybe more stand-off-ish but he's a good dude. Remington is just a shady dude. I feel bad for Corban, Reece, and Elias. I don't think they realize how weird and suspicious Remington actually is. They've either been manipulated into trusting him or they were so young when they met and have been around him so long they trust him. I don't think Remington is a bad person but from my experience as an assassin I've seen all sorts of shady people and he's a textbook example of one. But yet again, I am an assassin, if Remington was some bad dude I wouldn't be any better than him, I literally kill people for money.

I walked around awhile before wandering out of town and in the wooded area surrounding it. I eventually stumbled on a small dying fire. I careful approached only to see it was Remington who was sitting down next to the tiny flame, shirtless, with a bottle of alcohol in his hand.

"Remington what are you doing ou—"

"JESUS! Oh God, you scared me." Remington said laughing it off after flinching at the sound of my voice, "I didn't hear ya comin'."

"Yeah I'm supposed to be good at that." I said, "Anyways why are you up so late and why are you out here? You know we have a place to stay."

"I can ask you the same thing." Remington said as he leaned back with a smug look on his face.

"Well I woke up, couldn't go back to sleep, saw you were gone and went looking for you. Okay your turn." I said as I crossed my arms.

"Aww, you were worried about me." Remington teased.

"Funny. Answer my question."

Remington patted the grass right next to him with his hand, "You can sit down. Staring at me from standing up is bad for your neck."

I sat down next to him staring at him firmly, I'm not letting him trick me into forgetting my question with his stupid charm, "You still haven't answered my question."

"What was it? I forgot." Remington said as he lifted up the bottle of alcohol to his mouth and took a drink.

"How much have you drank?" I asked.

"Pfft, I don't keep track."

"Okay why are you out so late? It's like what? Three in the morning? You do know we all have a place to sleep right? You don't have to sleep out here with the mosquitos."

"Mosquitoes don't bother me."

"You're still diverting from the question!" I exclaimed in frustration, "Do you think I'm dumb or something?"

"No. But I think you're pretty." He said as he gave me a stupid smirk.

"You got good at this over the years huh?" I said stone-faced, "Guess what I work with shady guys like you for a living. I guess if you won't answer my questions I have reason to believe your trying to hide something."

"Oh I'm not trying to hide anything." Remington sighed, "I just don't like babies."

"Really?" I asked not believing him.

He shrugged, "They make me uncomfortable. Too fragile."

"I find that hard to believe."

"I just told you the truth woman."

"I hope you know your a suspicious dude. I don't trust you and I don't know why the others do. Is it because they were so young when they ran into they haven't been able to tell all these years or you just manipulated them?" I asked in an aggressive tone.

"You are an assassin missy. Don't make me look like I'm a bad guy here."

"I've never killed someone I think is a good person." I quickly retorted.

"If you say so." Remington muttered as he took another drink.

"What are you saying I'm wrong?"

"You're getting quite defensive. Maybe you're the suspicious one." Remington said in a giggle.

I just stared at him coldly.

He just kept that stupid annoying smile on his face the whole time, "What? Are you mad? Because I said something correct?"

"No I'm just tired of talking to you."

"Then why won't you leave then?"

"That's a good idea." I said standing up.

"Wait no!" Remington said as he grabbed ahold of my leg, "Stay... it's lonely out here..."

"Uh no. You can literally come back to the house we're staying in whenever you want."

"Blake... no..."

"I don't understand what the big deal is Remington, it's a baby! It's not going to hurt you and it's not like you have to touch it or even go by it!"

Remington sighed and let go of my shoe and laid down in the grass by my foot, "Fine. Whatever."

I stared at him for a second as he laid there in the grass in disappointment, I leaned over and grabbed his bottle of alcohol to take with me.

"Hey! Hey what are you doing with that?!" Remington exclaimed as he watched me start to walk away with it.

"I think your drunk enough." I said as I kept walking. Next thing I knew I felt him tug on the bottle from behind me.

"I bought that with my own money!" He sneered.

"What money?" I retorted as I pulled it out from his grasp.

"Well I went through the trouble of stealing it!"

"There's barely any left dude," I said.

"If you want some you can have a sip, but not the entire fucking thing!" Remington exclaimed as he stumbled forward as he reached to grab it out of my hands.

"You need to go to bed man." I said as I shook my head, suddenly Remington managed to push his body weight all onto mine causing both of us to fall on the ground. He stared down at me from where he had landed on top of me. We sat there for a moment in silence.

"Do you wanna have sex with me?" He whispered.

"EW WHAT THE FUCK DUDE!"
