Without a moments notice I ran for it. I used being so low to the ground as my advantage and pushed off into a sprint. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Remington shoot up to try to escape only to trip and fall on the ground. I turned around and stopped.

I turned around and stopped? For Remington?

My hesitation cost me for it only took a moment before one of the huntresses personnel ran over grabbing by my waist and tackling me to the ground so hard my body made a loud thudding noise as I hit the ground knocking all the wind out of me. I gasped for air as the man who tackled my started grabbing my arms and pulled me up to put my hands behind my back. I was too disoriented trying to catch my breath to break out of his grip.

"Wow how lucky is this?" The huntress announced in a starry voice, "We just so happen to stumble across Remington and this bitch who tried to kill me?"

As I stared at the ground catching my breath I could hear someone walking towards me. Two boots walked into my line of sight only a few seconds before one flew into my face kicking me right on my forehead and then again on the left side of my face causing me to fall over even with someone holding my hands behind my back. I grunted in pain as I felt someone grab me by the hair and pull my head off the ground, the Huntress stared me down with her deep blue angry eyes.

"You think you can get away from me after trying to pull what you did? Huh? You really think you can try and kill me and then just escape? Well think again missy. You thought I hit you hard just now? Just wait til it's just you and me alone in the dirty jail cell you're going to be staying in for the rest of your life." She spat as she eyed me down through her stupid deer mask.

"Leave her alone Diane!" Remington shouted from a few meters away.

I looked over to try and see past Diane where he was but instead she pushed my head down and into the dirt making my face smack the ground hard. I winced in pain and felt my nose start to run. I started to sniffle only to realize that it was blood running out of my nose.

"You...you... I don't want to here another fucking word out of your mouth." Diane warned as she walked over to Remington, "I've had enough with you and your stupid games. It ends now."

I glanced up and watched her turn to the rest of her personnel.

"Look around, I know there's bound to be more of them somewhere over here." Diane ordered.

I sighed and looked over at Remington who looked very underwhelmed by what had just happened, his facial expression just read mildly concerned at the most.

I felt so defeated. It was going to be even harder to escape now. My face was throbbing and I wanted to puke. If only I didn't fucking turn around I would've totally gotten away. Why should I care about Remington anyways? He's the one who got us captured in the first place. I made a mistake helping him escape from Diane once, let alone staying with them. Then again it's better than being hunted down by the gang leader who paid me to kill Diane in the first place.

God I'm such an idiot.

"Huntress what should we do with these two?" One of Dianes men asked.

"Take them back to camp I'm sure I can find someone who will pay a lot of money to do whatever they want to these two, Remington's wronged his fair share of the Midwest and I'm sure little miss girl over here isn't exactly Scott-free either." Diane said.

Just like that I was pulled up to my feet forcefully. The huntress split her group and lead half of them to go find where everyone else was, the other half walked me and Remington back to camp. Their were five people escorting us, I tried to think of ways to escape but unfortunately any plan I could think on would rely on either explaining it to Remington right next to those escorting us or relying on him to be a quick thinker. Neither of those were realistic situations that would end with both of us getting away. There's no way out.
