Chapter 68: girl meets find them

(The next day)

Maya's pov
I wake and see Lucas is still sleeping.

I kiss him and he wakes up.

"Hey cowboy" I smile

"Hey beauty" he says

We lay in each other's arms.

I keep thinking about the whole Minkus and my mom situation.

"Stop thinking about that" Lucas says

He can read me like a book. He always knows what I'm thinking.

"It's just...I'm so confused. Why was Minkus even want to kill some one?" I as

"I don't know. Maybe farkle knows something" Lucas says

"Your a genius! If anyone knows it'll be farkle" I exclaim

I kiss everywhere on his face while repeating "I love you"

"I love you too" he chuckled

I kiss his lips before hopping off the bed and getting dressed quickly.

"Come on!" I say, pulling Lucas up

We get dressed (picture) and brush our teeth and run downstairs.

"Farkle!" I say

Nothing.

"Farkle?!" I call

Nothing.

"Riley?" I say

"Riley?!" I call

Nothing.

"Maybe they are in their room" Lucas says

"Probably" I say

We walk to their room and the door is open.

No one is in the room.

I run my fingers in my hair.

"Maybe the park?" I suggest

"It would be weird because they would normally tell us but let's look" Lucas says

We run outside. It's fall so there are leaves everywhere.

"Riley?! Farkle?!" We call out

We get to the park. Nothing.

"This is weird" Lucas says

"You think I don't know that?! Lucas, our best friends are missing! Were could they possible be?" I say, freaking out

"Maya, calm down. We are gonna find them. I promise" Lucas says, bringing me into a tight hug

"Let's go back home and see if they left a note or anything" Lucas says

I nod and he brings me back home.

We get home and look around.

"Babe, come here and look at this" I say

Lucas walks over and wraps his arms around my waist.

"I found a note" I said

"If you want to see them again go to where you had your first kiss" Lucas read the note aloud

"School!" We say

"What time is it?" I ask

"Noon" he says

"Ok. The school should be open since classes are in" I say

"Let's go!" Lucas says

We run as fast as we can to the school.
