Ella's p.o.v
We are all sitting down at dinner talking amongst ourself. Ally is really hitting it off with their stepbrother Mike, while Henry and Maddie are laughing at something they were talking about. Nia was just on her phone and Jack, Zach, and I were all talking about music. Apparently me and Zach have a lot in common, which is scary.
"Here is dinner you all!" Linda places the plates of food on the table.
"This looks wonderful." My mom smiled taking a sip of her wine. We all took some food and passed it around the table, it looked amazing. Dinner was going amazing, we were laughing and talking and getting along.
"We should definitely make this a weekly thing!" Linda smiled getting all excited. I could tell she never went through anything like this.
"I agree!" My mom smiled at her. I could tell they were gonna be great friends. I can see this summer being a pretty good one. We finished up dinner and everyone was just talking and enjoying themselves.
"How about we go on a walk?" Zach smirked at me.
"That's a good idea!" My mom smiled. "Linda I can help you clean up." She smiled picking up some plates. All the kids got up and walked out of the back doors. It was pretty dark outside which was kinda nice. Jack, Zach, Mike and Henry all went running in the sand messing around while the girls just stood back and started taking a walk.
"So Nia how old are all of you?" I asked trying to get some words out of her.
"Well me and Zach are 17, Maddie is 10 and Mike is 20 soon to be 21." She said. "What about you guys?" She asked looking over at us.
"Well I'm 19." Ally said.
"I'm 17, Jack is 18 and Henry is 10." I said looking out to the ocean. I guess I stopped walking at one point and just got lost the way the moon was hitting the ocean. Then without even realizing Zach was running up to me and tackled me.
"Zach what the fuck!" I yelled.
"Calm down baby it's just a joke." He smirked at me.
"What is with you and that?" I questioned.
"What do you mean?" He looked at me up and down with his eyes. I ignored him and started walking away but he grabbed my hand and pulled me back. "We need to hang out." He smirked.
"You're funny." I laughed and walked away.
"El, I'm sleepy." Henry groaned.
"Come here squirt." I said picking him up.
"Thanks for tonight guys! See you tomorrow." I smiled waving goodnight.
"Hey Ella, me and Jack are gonna stay at dads tonight." Ally said walking up with me and Henry. I nodded my head and walked up to my back door. I tried opening it and I couldn't, I didn't know if I was struggling or if the door was locked.
"Mother fucker!" I yelled, kinda surprised that's Henry didn't wake up.
"Can I help you pretty girl?" Zach walked up to me, I didn't want him to help me. Not him, not now.
"Honestly I don't want your help, but can you please hold him real quick?" I asked handing Henery to Zach. I grabbed the key out of our plant and unlocked the door.
"Here." Zach handed Henry back to me.
"Thank you." I smiled walking into our house, I shut the door with my butt and walked Henry up to his room. I went back downstairs and locked the door so nobody would break in... like Zach. I walked to the kitchen and took one of my moms white claws then went back to my room. I went into my bathroom and took make makeup off and fixed my hair. I walked out of my room and it sounded like something was hitting my window. I moved my curtains and saw Zach from a window. I opened my window and there he was, all smiley.
"What do you want?" I asked taking a sip of the drink.
"Wow your real ballsy for drinking that." He laughed.
"Ya ya what do you want?" I asked getting bored.
"Your number." He smiled being all bold and shit.
"555-555-5555" I smiled closing my window. I kept my blinds open and purposely started changing in front of him.

I looked at my phone and laughed, I closed my curtains and turned my lights off. I turned my tv on to watch some Netflix, I put my favorite show Criminal Minds.
Unknown: look you are hot and I wanna get with you so think about and one day maybe I can take you on a date

I rolled my eyes at the thought of the nickname I just called him. I put my phone away and I went to sleep. I was sleeping so nicely and then I heard a huge bang from downstairs. I looked at my phone and saw it was 3am, I grabbed the bat I keep under my bed and opened my door. I saw Henry peak his head out of his door, I waved at him to put his head back in the door. I started walking down the steps slowly and quietly, right as I heard footsteps coming my way I jumped out with the bat above my head. Right as I saw who it was I stopped.
"Shit sorry Jack, I thought you were staying at dads." I said feeling my heart beat out of my chest.
"Haha shit sorry." He said all wobbly, he was definitely drunk or high or both.
"Come on lets get you to bed." I said as I guided him to his room. I put him in bed and then I went back and locked the front door. I went to the kitchen and grabbed some water then went back to bed, I only had a couple hours till I get up to run.
