Ella's p.o.v
It was almost Halloween which means 2 things, one is that we are playing our arch rivals in football and the Halloween party's.
"So what are we doing for Halloween?" Piper asked sitting down at our lunch table.
"You girls are obviously getting ready with me then we can go to whoever is having a party." I said sitting across from her.
"Cody is throwing a party and we're all invited." Daniel smiled putting his arm around me.
"That's perfect." Jack laughed. "So what's everyone dressing up as?" He asked starting to eat. We all discussed what we would wear, I decided that I would be a sexy jail prisoner and Daniel would be a cop. Piper is dressing up as a Barbie, Kate is being a football player, and Lindsey is going to be a luau girl. While the boys are probably just gonna wear basketball jerseys and call that a costume. We went on the rest of the day and it went by pretty fast, the only thing on my mind was Halloween.
Daniel: I'm excited for this weekend
Me: same :)
These past couple weeks me and Daniel have been getting really close. We talk and hang out all the time but we haven't made things official yet. I always wait for him after football practice so we can get coffee.
"Ella!" Daniel yelled running up to me as I was sitting on his Jeep.
"Hey." I jumped off giving him a hug.
"How was your own practice?" He asked getting in the car.
"It was good, how about yours? Are you ready for the big game on Friday?" I asked as we pulled out of the school.
"Ya for sure." He smiled looking over at me. He plugged his car in to the aux and started playing some good jams. We both started singing to the music while we drive around with our coffee.
"This is amazing." I smiled looking over at Daniel.
"You know you have a great singing voice." Daniel smiled parking the car.
"So do you." I pushed him arm in a flirty way. "We should sing together one day, it's kinda embarrassing but I know how to play different instruments." He blushed and scratched the back of his head all embarrassed.
"Let's do it, we can do me you and Jack." I smiled at him, nothing could ruin this moment .
Jack: you might wanna get home now
Jack: moms in a mood and it doesn't seem good
"Daniel I need you to take me home now." I got all worried about what was going to happen. When my mom gets in these moods she will blame us for anything and everything.
"Is everything okay El?" Daniel asked grabbing my hand, I nodded my head no as we drove quickly to my house. "Text me when you can." He said before I left.
"Thank you." I kissed his cheek running out of the car. I ran into the house and it was oddly quiet. I look around the house and I see my mom crying at the table. "Mom is everything okay?" I ask sitting next to her.
"No." She slammed her fist on the table, I backed up getting scared. "Give me your phone Ella." She demanded, I handed it to her then ran to Jacks room to be safe.
"What is her problem?" I started tearing up, but before I started crying I saw Zach. "Oh, hey. My bad I'll just go now." I started to leave Jacks room. Things are just awkward between me and Zach now, we haven't really talked since the party.
"Ella please stay." Henry grabbed my hand with his eyes all red.
"Hen just come with me." I picked him up and ran up to my room.
"Why is mommy like this." He started crying on my shoulder.
"I don't know bud, but she's always been like this." I tried calming him down. "Let's take a nap." I rubbed his head making him fall asleep. I grabbed my laptop and texted Daniel from there.
Me: hey got my phone taken away :(
Daniel: damn b I'm sorry
Me: I'm used to it
Me: my mom is psycho sometimes
Daniel: my dad gets like that too
Daniel: but I'm sorry <3
Me: it's okay <3
"Kids!" My mom yelled making Henry jump out of his slumber. We all ran to the kitchen and saw my mom have a bottle of vodka in her hand. This isn't good.
"Mom, put the bottle down." Jack slowly approaches her.
"Jack stop." I said pulling him back.
"No." He snatched his hand back. "I'm tired of this, every year around this time she's like this." He started getting angry.
"Jack this was my wedding day!" My mom yelled making us all shut up, but she started sobbing. We all froze and had no idea what to do.
"Henry go to your room." I whisper to him so he wouldn't have to see this. We had a talk with our mom to clear things over and to help her find a way so she wouldn't be like this next year.
"Thank you." She hugged us and gave me my phone back, I went up to my room and started to get ready for bed.
Me: hey I got my phone back
Daniel: yay
Daniel: I miss you
Me: you will see me tomorrow silly
Daniel: wanna get our Halloween costume after school?
Me: yes for sure ;)
Daniel: I'll see you tomorrow cutie
That put a huge smile on my face, he gives me butterflies now. Like what Zach used to give me but so much better. I was turning my tv on but then heard something hitting me window and I got all confused. It was Zach, he had a piece of paper that said 'hey' on it. I grabbed paper and wrote 'hey' back, it made him smile which ended up making me laugh. He grabbed another piece of paper and wrote 'I'm sorry'
