Zach's p.o.v
Today started off kinda rough not gonna lie, me and Maya got into a pretty big fight last night over something stupid. But I decided to be the bigger person and forget about it, I picked her up this morning and she wouldn't stop talking about homecoming. I kinda blocked her out and focused on driving. We pulled into the school and I didn't see Jacks vehicle in his spot, but Ella has her car parked next to it. I just ignored it and walked into the school, Maya said some douche comment and I just ignored it. We walked around the hallways for a little bit, when we started heading to class I saw Ella and Harvey making out. That's all Maya could talk about today, why can't we do this and that and bla bla bla! I'm starting to get annoyed by her and I just need a break.
Me: yo what you doin' tonight?
Jack: I'm on my way back from picking Ally up
Me: can I come over later?
Jack: ya bro of corse!
Jack: you can stay for dinner too
Me: cool beans thanks man!
"So what are we doing tonight?" Maya asked grabbing my arm.
"I have plans with Jack." I told her, she looked pretty mad.
"Is Ella gonna be there?" She asked all mad.
"I don't know, it's her house so maybe." I got a little aggravated with her.
"Oh whatever." She rolled her eyes, kinda pissed me off not gonna lie. I stood up and left her where she was sitting. "Zach where are you going?!" She stood up yelling, I just walked away making sure she wouldn't follow me.
Maya: what the hell where did you go
Me: I need some air and to pee
Maya: well you could've told me that
Me: well my bad
Maya: I'm sorry baby
I just ignored her and went on with my day. I skipped one of my classes to work one some football skills. It helped clear my mind and I definitely needed it.
Maya: your still taking me home right?
Me: ya
I just don't know how I feel about Maya anymore, I don't wanna break up with her. But I just need her to shush. The school day ended and I met Maya at my car.
"Can we talk please?" Maya turned to me while I was driving.
"Ya what's up?" I asked her focusing on my driving.
"I'm sorry for how I've been acting lately, I promise babe I will change. I'll be nicer and more quiet and not freak out over everything." She explained to me, which is kinda what I wanted to hear right now.
"It's okay baby, I'm sorry for today I was just out of it today." I started to hold her hand while I was driving.
"It's okay, I just don't want tension between us." She squeezed my hand. The rest of the ride was quiet but a nice quiet, all you could hear the muffled music. "Thanks for the ride." She kissed me on my cheek.
"I'll see you later." I told her backing out of the driveway. I started driving to Jacks house when he started calling me.
"Hey man what's up!" I said into the phone.
"Hey bro so I'm almost home now so just come over whenever and just head into my room." Jack said into the phone.
"Cool beans I'll be there in 10." I said.
"Alright see you later!" He said hanging up. I decided to play some music to jam out to on the way to Jack's house. I went to my house first to tell my mom everything that was happening. I walked over to Jacks house and started talking to their mom for a while.
"You can just hang out in Jacks room till he gets home." She told me, I headed into his room and just sat there on my phone. I heard talking outside the door and I just kinda sat here.
"Hey my mom has to talk to us for a little then we can hang, my pen is under there." He popped his head in the door and pointed to a shelf.
"Cool beans." I laughed going up to get his pen. I heard even more talking going on and I just ignored it.
"Hey man we're all done." Jack came into his room.
"Hey boys will you guys go get the girls real quick?" Jacks mom asked through the door.
"I got it you can do this." I threw Jack the pen. I walked up to Ella's door and heard my name come up. I placed my ear against the door and started listening.
"So me and Maya ended up wearing the same costume which was really awkward. But Zach ended up drinking a lot and he ended up kissing me." Ella said, what the fuck she told me that it wasn't her.
"Girl did you tell him?" Ally asked.
"Ummmmm. No." I heard Ella say, I can't believe she didn't tell me.
"Ella you know that you should've told him." Ally told her, and he'll ya she was right.
"Look Ally I know but the things is I wanna make sure he is happy. Telling him that I kissed him at the party will hurt him, and his relationship that he's in." Ella explained, wow she really does care about me. I stood there in shock not knowing if I should knock on the door and say something.
"Zach come on." Maddie said as her and Henry ran out of his room. I followed them and their dad came in and told everyone else that it was dinner time. I went back into Jacks room real quick and I was about to tell him everything that happened but we had to eat. I said hi to Ella and gave Ally a hug then sat at the table.
"I have a boyfriend." Ella blurted out and I kinda felt hurt, especially knowing what happened.
