Ashur's POV

I woke up to James' face above mine. I started to panic but kept quiet. 'He's probably mad about the cabin trip thing,' I told myself.

"Why didn't you tell me?" James growled. I started shaking.

"I only found out yesterday and Dad said I couldn't tell anyone," I whimpered. He growled louder and punched my face. I yelped and bit down a growl.

"I'll punish you more when you get back in three weeks," He growled as he left.

I got up quietly and looked at the time. '9 o'clock. Great, three hours until we leave for the cabin.'

'At least we get away from James,' Cerberus pointed out. At first, I was happy but then I remembered what James had said.

'But it will be worse when we get back.'

I sighed and headed to the bathroom. 'Great a busted lip and a bruise is already forming,' I noted as I looked in the mirror. 'I should pack for the trip.'

Three hours later (at the meeting house)

I got out of Mom's car as slowly as possible. I didn't know if anyone was here yet, but I didn't really want to know.

"Ashur Nova Sullivan! Get your butt out of the car before I drag you out!" Mom yelled as she opened the trunk. I rolled my eyes and got out. "And help me with your bags!"

"I can help with that Mrs. Sullivan," Miles said running over to Mom's side. I stopped in my tracks when I saw his outfit.

'Oh Moon goddess, I might die,' I whimpered to Cerberus

'Oh Moon goddess, I might die,' I whimpered to Cerberus.

'Damn he's hot. Can we see more?' Cerberus asked, his tail wagging like crazy.

'Cerberus!'

"Like what you see?" Miles asked me as he walked by with both of my duffel bags. I blushed and glared at him.

"Don't know what you're talking about," I growled. He chuckled and put my bags into the packs' van. 'Of course, we're taking that ugly thing. Why wouldn't we?'

Miles' POV

I had to chuckle as I put Ashur's bags in the van. He definitely likes what he sees. To be honest, I like what I see too. I never knew a guy could look so hot in short shorts, an oversized hoodie, and low top converses.

I know Ashur was drooling over what I'm wear but now I'm drooling over what he is wearing. I couldn't stop staring at his legs. Why do they look so smooth?

"Hey bro, what are you staring at?" Archie asked as he laid his arm across my shoulders. I turned away from Ashur.

"Nothing," I answered quickly.

"As if," He said rolling his eyes. "Anyways, everyone's here and we're all packed. You ready to leave?"

"Yeah, but who's driving first?" I asked.

"I'll drive first," Serenity said joining us. "But Alex gets shot gun."

"Who's Alex?" Archie and I asked.

"Sorry, Channing is Alex," She explained.

"Yeah he can have shot gun," I answered. "I want the backseat."

"To yourself I'm guessing," Archie said.

"No," I said glaring at him. I looked at Serenity and smiled. "Do you think you can convince Ashur to sit in the back?"

She smiled back and nodded before walking to where Ashur and Channing were standing.

"Are we going or what?" Amelia asked from inside of the van. Archie and I shared a look and rolled our eyes. That's our Amelia for you, smart but demanding.
