Channing's POV

"Who are you?" I asked him.

"I'm your mate," He whimpered.

"I know that silly," I giggled. "I'm asking for your name."

"Oh, right," He said sheepishly. "I'm Ford Bailey Hunter. And you name?"

"Channing Alexander Reyes," I answered.

"Cute," Ford whispered, making me blush.

"What's going on?" Amelia asked joining Serenity. Ford's head shot up and he started to growl at them.

"Stop, they're my friends," I said. Ford stopped growling and looked back down at me.

"They're mates," Serenity explained to Amelia.

"But Channing's not 18 yet," Amelia said.

"Well no duh," Serenity said. "Ford must be 18. How old are you Ford?"

"18, why?" Ford asked. I stiffened with realization. 'He's four years older than me.'

"Alex," Serenity whispered. I looked up at her and she gave me an encouraging smile. I sighed and looked back at Ford.

"I'm 14," I whispered.

"So? Age doesn't matter when it comes to soulmates," He said.

"Can you take this outside?" A man said from behind the counter. He looked around before whispering, "There are humans in this store."

"Okay, sorry," Serenity said. "Amelia and I will finish shopping and if you two want, you can learn more about each other outside."

"Yeah," I said. Ford got up and then helped me up.

Outside

"What's your rank?" I asked him as we sat down on the curb. 'Why did I ask that? He must be an Alpha.'

"I'm an Alpha. And I'm guessing that you're an Omega?" Ford asked. I nodded and then looked away. 'I feel stupid now.'

"You're not stupid," Ford said grabbing my chin gently. He lifted my head until our eyes met.

"How did you know what I was thinking?" I asked.

"You looked away after I answered," He answered while he rubbed his thumb back and forth on my jaw. 'Wait I wonder what pack he's in?'

I grabbed his right wrist and looked for his pack tattoo. There wasn't one. 'He's a rogue.'

"You're... you're a rogue," I whispered. Ford removed his hand from my chin and pulled his other hand away from my grasp.

"I'm sorry," He mumbled as he started to get up. "I should have thought about that before I tackled you. Nobody wants a rogue as a mate unless they are a rogue too. It was nice to meet you anyways."

He turned away from me and started to walk away. 'No! Don't let him leave!' Rolo yelled at me. But I didn't know what to do. 'Channing! If he leaves, he's not coming back!'

"Ford," I whimpered as tears started to roll down my face.

Ford's POV

'No! Don't leave him!' Skull, my wolf, yelled. 'He doesn't want to be my mate, I'm a rogue.' 'You didn't even let him talk!' Suddenly, there was a pain in my chest, and I could hear my name being whispered. 'He does want us!' Skull said excitedly. Tears formed in my eyes as I turned back around and ran back to Channing.

I found him with his knees to his chest, his head laid on his knees, and he was shaking.

"Ford," He whimpered looking up. I was by his side in seconds, pulling him close. "I'm sorry... I just didn't know what to say."

I hushed him and started to pet his head. "No, I'm sorry. I never should have walked away. That is the only time I will ever walk away from you."

He purred and buried his face into my chest. 'Now that I've found you, I will never walk away. I should have started with that when I first saw you.'
